It's been a while since I've had a good breakfast out but this morning at Brio was definitely a good breakfast experience. The menu was fresh, the staff were very friendly and there was no need to book (as they'll do their best to fit you in). For what you receive the value is also worth paying for...because the food is amazing. Definitely recommend it!

I ate with friends at Kathmandu over the weekend and love the food whenever I go there. The only thing I find disappointing sometimes is the service. On the first occasion I went there, they had two bookings under the same first name and confused the parties. We ended up having to shift tables. On the second occasion, I ordered a mild dish but was given a medium dish. I tried to argue my point but was told no I ordered medium, which is not what everyone around me heard. They may need to learn 'the customer is always right'.

I went to Casablanca over the weekend with friends to celebrate a mate's birthday. Whilst it's not the classiest of places, it offered fun with karaoke. Drinks were expensive but the atmosphere was good. Overall not a bad night there.

I was here on the weekend for a friend's birthday and she had booked a karaoke room but they neglected to tell her she had to eat there as well. Consequently, we had just had dinner to celebrate with her and couldn't fit anything else in. We had all just paid for drinks at Red Lantern and were promptly kicked out because we weren't ordering food. I felt soooo sorry for my friend, as it was her birthday. She was left very upset and we spent the night comforting her. The restaurant was empty too, so they could have actually made money out of us. I wouldn't go back there because of the way my friend was treated. We are decent people too and yet they ushered us out of there like there was no tomorrow.

Arran from ASB Electrical was amazing in helping us fit out our bathroom. He catered to exactly what we were looking for and went out of his way to make sure the final product was what we wanted. The work was of a high standard and value was also good. Would definitely recommend this electrician for those in the local Gap area.

What I love about Salon is that they're constantly inventing new cocktails and keeping things fresh for their loyal customers. They make a great cocktail and I would definitely recommend them for after work drinks Friday.

If you love your German food, the Brisbane German Club is the place to be. It's also great for German beer, which you can takeaway. The only catch is that you or a friend has to be a member of the club. Once you're a member, you can get discounts and come as often as you like. I personally love the Bratwurst and Sauerkraut.

The Red Firecracker is a favourite of mine for lunch in the Teneriffe area. It offers lunch specials and doesn't disappoint. The meals are also ample, so if you're lucky enough, there's leftovers for a second meal.

Tartufo was definitely a WOW for me recently. I went here one night to celebrate a friend's birthday. We all tried the degustation menu and it was amazing. Would definitely recommend trying it for a special occasion. It is not somewhere to go to though for an everyday meal.

Crazy Fish Sushi Bar is a good local spot for takeaway sushi. It is however a small bar, so it's not a good place to take a large crowd. It's great for those who aren't into obscure sushi but isn't great for those who like variety. It's a good place to go to every now and then but not for your loyal sushi lover.
