We only needed a small bit of granite for our bathroom benchtop but found most places sold it by the slab. Marble works were able to custom cut a bit to suit for a reasonable price. The quality of the end product was fantastic and we are really happy we used them. The only negative we had was getting an approximate ETA, it seemed they kept adding time to the order.
Langford Metal Industries helped us out with metal for our flashing detail in the bathroom. Whilst the final product does look good, they got our initial measurements wrong which meant we had to wait longer to install it.
We recently needed to install glass screening into our bathroom and needed a glazier to do just this. The Decorative Glass Company came to our rescue. Within the space of a couple of weeks we finally had a shower up and running thanks to the speed and efficiency of Decorative Glass. They did a great job and I would recommend their work.
Unlike other Hastings St. restaurants (who book out and can't fit anyone in), the La Vida Restaurant allowed us to book that afternoon for dinner that night. Whilst it was busy and service could have been better, the food was great and a small after dinner drink on the house to apologize to guests for the delay made it worthwhile. They did go out of their way to make their guests feel happy.
My husband and I most recently stayed at the Lookout Resort for a Noosa holiday. It was the perfect spot, as Noosa junction was down the road and Hastings street was just a short stroll down a marked track behind the resort. Accommodation was great and we even had a small view of the beach from our apartment. I would definitely recommend this resort, which has its own pool and gym. It was such an enjoyable stay.
This is a fantastic local bakery in St. Lucia Brisbane. I particularly recommend the sandwiches and croissants that come from here. It is a family owned business who do a great job with friendly service.
I visited the Kookaburra Cafe one night for dinner. The service was fantastic and the variety also quite good. You definitely get value for money here and the Pizza tastes fantastic. Definitely worth a try!
Siana has a very nice interior feel but can be quite pricey. This isn't that surprising though considering it's located on Eagle Street. It's a great spot for after work drinks on a Friday but it's definitely not a dress down type of bar.
Good for Friday drinks after work. Liquid was formerly known as the Ice Bar in Teneriffe and has been a local spot for a long time. The staff are friendly. No complaints here. It's a good place to catch up with others.
Dish Bistro is a relatively new Mediterranean restaurant in Teneriffe. Owned by Mark Maric (former executive chef of Lure at the Coro and Rockpool in Sydney), you already know the food is going to be good. I would definitely recommend the olive platter as a starter! This place is worth a try.
