I've lost count of the amount of times I have been to this place, as it is near my work, I probably make my way there once a month.
The first thing I need to highlight is that this not a place to go if you expect to get good service or be able to have an intimate dinner/conversation. This place is in existence purely for us to enjoy the food. It is fair to say that you only actually pay for the food and any service you receive is purely coincidental and should be treated like an added bonus.
The food is amazing. That is why the majority of my colleagues and I will sit there patiently waiting 30 + minutes to our meals, or wait in a line to get a table, or suffer through them losing our order. The food is that good that we simply don't care about the service, because at the end of it all, we get to eat these delicious dumplings.
I have stuck to the same staple since I started coming here. One serve of Chicken and Prawn Dumplings ($11 for 15) and one serve of Special fired rice ($11.50). This is always shared between two and it is a struggle to get through it all.
Not a great spot for those who don't like a communal sort of atmosphere, as the tables are quite close together. Also not a place to go if you are wanting a 3 course meal.
There is very little that could stop me from coming back to this place every month or so. I'm quite a fussy eater, but it is hard to fault such tasty and cheap food.

A group of us ate at this place last night and I was pleasantly surprised with this place in general.
I ordered the baby back ribs because I can't get enough of ribs.
They came out so tender that they were literally falling off the bone without much assistance from my knife and fork. They only cost $24 and for that I got a large plate full of them. Did not come with anything else, but the sides are so cheap that if you felt you wanted more stuff, it was still a lot cheaper that getting a main meal at any other place.
Service was quite good and the staff were always around if you needed them. Water was constantly topped up and I enjoyed the furnishings and drinking out of the jars. Very cute!
I will most definitely be coming back here to sample something else on the great menu.

Recently had our work Christmas function here with cocktail style food.
I was expecting to have to chase down the staff to get some food, but it just kept coming and the serving sizes were fantastic.
We have a variety of things, from mini quiches to large chicken skewers and individual fish and chips with tartare sauce. I will go as far as saying it was the best cocktail style food I have had anywhere.
Staff were always happy and seemed to be happy to help. Girl behind the bar was always cheerful and quick.
Highly recommend this for staff functions, however I am keen to get back there for a sit down meal because if the finger food is anything to go by, it should be sensational.

I discovered this place a few years ago on a lunch break at work.
They have a lunch "Thali" offer, where you get a plate with rice, naan, a choice of two curries and papadum for $14.50.
I will never forget the first time I tasted the butter chicken here. Foodgasm is the only way to describe to you how amazing this is.
I had never had "fine Indian" before, but after eating the butter chicken from this place I can say that I have never had a better Indian dish anywhere.
I usually go with the Mala Kofta which is in a delicious sauce, and the butter chicken because it would be an absolute travesty to come here and not have it.
The service could be better, but for food like this, I don't care if I have to BYO table and chairs.
The tables are spaced out enough that you can have a nice intimate conversation, and they let you make requests (like me asking that no coriander leaves are in my meal). They were happy to assist.
I try to get back here as often as possible, and each time it is busy, but understandably. It is sometimes difficult to get a table at lunch time and I have been turned away due to no tables available before, which is a sign of a good establishment.
If you like normal Indian food, you're going to love this place.

My husband and I stayed her for our wedding night, and the night after.

I knew it was modern hotel, and I was hoping for the rooms to be spacious and comfortable, but I was blown away by just how lovely they were.

We were on the 17th floor in an Executive room, which I highly recommend to anyone.

The view from our room was gorgeous and probably the best views of Melbourne you can find anywhere.

What I loved about this room, among other things was the bath tub. I am a sucker for a nice, deep bath and this one ticked all the boxes. It was big enough for both of us to fit into without feeling like sardines, and the bathroom amenaties meant that it smelled amazing too.

They have enormous showers too, which is another great thing for couples and water savers alike.

The best thing though was the absolute comfort of the beds. Amazing. They are so soft and embracing that you don't want to get out of them. By far the best sleep I have ever had in a Melbourne hotel room.

We had access to the Execuitve Lounge and this was great too. The breakfast was great and the free internet and printer access was really handy.

We will most definitely be coming back here on our anniversary.

We have been here 2 times now, and each time we are blown away.

The 1st time we came here we had the banquet at $58 per head. This may seem like a lot to some people, certainly because we were expecting to get very little food, however we were proved wrong really quickly.

The food did not stop coming! In the end we couldn't eat anymore and had to get them to take the food away. This doesn't sound very nice, but you need to understand that everything they bought out for us was so damn amazing that it made you feel terrible for not being able to finish it all. My favourite was the saganaki with figs and the chicken that they make so tender and juicey that it pains you to not be able to finish it all.

The best value for money I have experienced to date in a popular restaurant. Hats off to George Calombaris for this awesome restaurant that we cannot get enough of.

Tip: Book far ahead, or if there is only a couple of you, take your chances on the night, we did and we managed to get a nice spot at the bar watching all the chefs do their magic.

Love, love love this place!

I am going to admit it, I have been here before, and the only reason I returned was because the spagetti marinara was to die for.

The first time around I was in heaven and couldn't express how great it was. One of my pet hates creeped up though...when I asked for parmesan (yes, on my seafood dish, stop judging me!) the lady came over with her little grinder to do it for me. That is lovely that you want to help, but I want more than you are willing to give me, so you should just give the customers some shaved stuff so they don't feel akwards telling you "a little more please".

Second time around was the same parmesan stand-off, but this time I made her grind until I had enough and that was so time. Maybe her wrist pain will prompt her to tell her boss that the staff would save a lot of time if they were not grinding parmesan over clients pasta dishes....

Anyway, enough about that. The food was amazing, again! I know where to come when I want a fresh bowl (order the main, as the entree will be very small) of perfect seafood pasta. Yum!

We stayed at Rydges Bell City the night befor emy wedding with friends and family and we all ate here for dinner.

The menu was amazing and it was hard to pick which dish you wanted more. I went with the eye fillet, and it did not disappoint. It was cooked to perfection, and the sides were great. The cost was high, but that is what you come to expect for good quality food.

Everyone at the table enjoyed their meals and left feeling satisfied.

Highly recommend coming here for dinner. Give it a go!

I love seafood, and couldn't go past a nice meal at a restaurant sitting on the wharf. It was easy to get to off the main street and I managed to get a car park so close that I almost fell out of my car and into the restaurant.

I ordered a Caesar Salad and Pan Fried tiger prawns. It was all very fresh and tasty. The service was outstanding too! Was quite impressed with the whole experience, particularly the Elderberry juice. Cannot wait to get back there!

Approximate cost: $25

This restaurant is not only run by the nicest people, but their banquet and the food in it is amazing.

I have my family all hooked. We are always treated so well when we come in and you always leave full and satisfied.

Highly recommended for anyone who likes Afghan food.
