Nice little bakery in the main street of Gawler. We were greeted with enthusiasm and after placing our order we were told to take a seat and our food and coffees brought to us a short time later. AND we didnt have to pay until we were leaving. The toasted sandwiches were top class and so was the coffees! Famous for their Cornish pasties it was nice to know there are other products just as tasty! We'll be back!
Fantastic! Ordered my Toners approximately 2pm and they were on my doorstep next morning! Overnight from Qld to South Australia in less than 24 hours and free postage to boot. How good is that. The products are of good quality and very inexpensive compared to the brand name and I have never had and problems with them. I will be continuing my business. Great job guys! Love the little sweets that come with the goods.
Nice clean little units for anyone on a tight budget. We had a 2 br unit with fully equipped kitchen so we could cook our own meals.
There was a BBQ for use outside the door. Close to the beach, almost next door to the general store/post office/cafe and about 3 mins walk to the Coobowie Hotel. The only drawback was the lack of power points. None in the bathroom which is a problem for men to shave. The power point in the kitchen had TV/ SET top box and Microwave all attached and we had to unplug one of them to boil the jug. Or put it on the floor next to the fridge.
That aside it was comfortable and tidy accomodation.
Lovely little seaside pub. We had a meal there while holidaying and the service was great. The dining room was packed and the meal was a little slow in arriving but it was worth waiting for. The staff are very friendly as are the locals!
Our flights have been booked for September and it didn't take long at all. The best deal for us and it's a pleasure to do business with them. Thank you Luke and the team! Well done. Again!
Having stayed at this Hotel in March it was the certain place to be again. This time we had rooms overlooking the beach and jetty. Beautiful views! These rooms are a bit more luxurious than our ones previously. Nice large bathroom, King bed and a doorway opening to the balcony so that you can get the sea breeze in the afternoon. The meals were great and reasonably priced. Recommended accomodation!
Having bought fish and chips here before, we visited again recently and glad to say they still are the best on the south coast. The steak sandwich I had was excellent and I found myself eating some of my partners fish and chips too! Wonderful fish and chips and steak sandwich. I will be back!
Staying nearby for a few days we decided to check out the hotel for a few drinks and a meal. The hotel is very nice I'm sure, but when we saw the menu prices, we decided to forego the meal and grab some pizzas. The games room is ok for anyone wanting to have a flutter but the dinner menu is not suitable for most people on a tight budget.
Stopping for a quick coffee and cake on our way back to Adelaide. The coffee was excellent and the "Award" winning vanilla slices were scrumpcious. Highly recommended for anyone passing through needing a break and a bite to eat.
Fantastic place and a must for all visitors to Ballarat. Loads of info pamphlets available and plenty of souvenirs for the collectors of caps, stubby holders, pens, maps etc. The staff were very helpful. With Eureka Stockade closed for renovations, we managed to at least get some items to say "we saw it but missed it".
