I havent actually eaten here, but have on a number of occasions gotten take away coffee and a muffin. Each time staff have been friendly and service has been prompt.

The coffee is excellent and made so you can drink it straight away (no scolding when you take a sip or waiting 10 minutes for it to cool down before you can enjoy your caffeine hit).

The muffin was fresh, tasty and delish.

This chemist is super convenient if you have just been to the medical centre across the road. Staff are friendly and helpful and the shop is set up with plenty of space and wide aisles.

They are well priced and a good alternative to the chemist up the road.

This review is for Speedy Shoe Repairs, Ashfield NSW

Having lived in Ashfield for over 4 years now, I have finally had reason to use Speedy Shoe Repairs (always having used a shoe repairer in the city on the way to and from work).

Service is fast, friendly and of good quality. New heels and soles on a mens pair of shoes cost us $55. Which is cheap considering you can't really buy a pair of leather shoes for that money.

It's a cash only business and make sure you remember to pick up your shoes, because the poor guy has heaps of shoes that people have simply forgotten to go and pick up!!

Will definitely use them again.

While this centre is not my usual doctor's surgery, the convenience of being open all day Saturdays and Sundays makes them ideal to visit on the weekend when you have a sick baby, but know you they are not so sick that you need to rush to the emergency room of RPA.

The waiting room is spacious and clean and there is a play area for the kids. On each occasion we have used this medical centre, we have been fortunate not to wait too long - I think it was because we had a sick baby (and no one really begrudges you jumping a queue when the sick person is a helpless baby).

The doctors are friendly and informative, and are able to assure you that bubba simply has a bad cold and not something more sinister.

Would definitely use the centre again when our usual surgery is closed.

There is plenty of parking at the centre, as well as on the street and across the road. A discount pharmacy is also located across the road to get your scripts filled or pick up your medications after your doctors visit.

I have been looking for some labels for my daughter as she prepares to head to daycare. I compared these guys with other similar sites and found that they had the cutest designs for the best prices available.

I bought a value pack of labels with included different size labels for objects as well as iron on labels for clothes and dots for shoes. These labels came to $39.95 on sale. There was a choice of design (different characters) and a choice of fonts available.

I received the labels approx 5 days after I placed the order (I ordered over the weekend so it may have been quicker if it had been a mid-week order).

I am very happy with the final product and now won't be losing any of my daughter's clothes or drink bottles!

Don't let the Victoria Road address put you off this place. Entrance and facade is actually on Formosa Street (opposite number 63 or thereabouts) with parking next door as well as plenty of street parking (2hr limit).

This place has a wonderful atmosphere and an open and airy feel, with plenty of windows to allow natural light and plenty of communal tables but not so many to make it feel overcrowded. The light fittings are wonderful - be sure to check them out when you visit.

The service is friendly and fast - staff were quick to help with pram and high chair - and menus were given out promptly. Orders were taken swiftly (though we weren't rushed) and the coffee and food came out in a good time.

The coffee (yes that is the important bit and its Campos btw) is delicious and served at the right temp to drink straight away. The food menu is not your usual fare but however everything you would normally eat for breakfast in on the menu. I had the Avocado and Tomato on Toast ($10.50) and it was yummy.

This review is for Aladdin's Kebabs & Mid Eastern Cuisine, Bankstown NSW

Aladdin's serves up both kebab's and Indian cuisine (not a combination that first springs to mind!). I ordered a mixed kebab with the usual lettuce, tomato, onion, tabouli and garlic sauce.

Service was fast and friendly and the kebab itself was okay but I have definitely had better. It seemed to be lacking in flavour compared to others I have had.

This review is for Drugstore, Summer Hill NSW

Yet another great coffee house in Summer Hill (seriously those that live in the area have an abundance of coffee shops to go to now!!)

With a pram in tow I had planned to visit another coffee shop but found I couldn't get through their front door (and thereby order my coffee) so I walked across the road to the Drugstore. I didn't have to worry about getting into the cafe (another narrow opening) because their sidewalk windows allowed me to order through the hole in the wall.

Staff were friendly and engaging. The coffee was delish - a smokey/nutty flavour (Campos) and was at the right temperature to drink straight away (I hate places that serve super hot coffee that scolds you as you take the first sip through the takeaway cup lid).

Price for the large was $4.70.

This review is for Garden Buffet, Pyrmont NSW

I love this buffet. Great selection of different cuisines and its all cooked fresh with plenty of everything to choose from. The biggest problem is knowing what to eat first! It's great for lunch (I find I can eat more for lunch and can digest it before bed... and don't have to cook anything for dinner!)

The dessert selection is amazing with plenty to choose from. And there is something for all ages!

Approximate cost: $45

My first date night for a long time (2 little bubba's makes dinner's out a little difficult). I was pleased with my husbands choice of venue! The cocktails were delish and the food tasty and plentiful. Great steak, cooked the way we asked and the sides were great as well.
