Always great service here with friendly helpful staff. It is only a small shop, but this is a smallish town, so don't expect the choices of a large whiz bang video shop in the city. But you can generally find what you want and book ahead if you're desperate.

A mixture of experiences here. My daughter had the most amazing hairdresser but when we returned he had left. I had one of the worst haircuts I have ever had. I have a square face and asked for a whispy fringe. I was given a thick fringe which was slightly longer in the centre (always a good look) and another layer which ended at the my chin. The final result was that I looked like a total box head and I will definitely not be going back there again. I had an older man cut my hair, not sure of his name, but obviously absolutely no consideration was given to what would suit the shape of my face. He should have enough years of experience under his belt to know what he is doing.

I have seen Jose (not sure of spelling) for years and cannot recommend his cutting highly enough. I am incredibly fussy with hairdressers and sometimes try others but always come back here. He really is fantastic. He oversees the other hairdressers well so I think most customers would be leaving in a happy frame of mind. They have also have a very informative website, which is indicative of the professionalism of this salon.

Just average fish and chips here, nothing special, which is a shame for Emerald. We could do with some high quality fish & chips and/or takeaways. We don't have fish & chips often so when we do we prefer a more pleasurable outcome and in desperation have to drive at least 20 minutes to get something of better quality.

This is a fantastic veterinary clinic. The staff are incredibly friendly, remember you and your pets which I think puts any business up a notch. They are very efficient, sending worming reminders etc. My kids are always shown what is going on so they love going there as well. I've dealt with quite a few vets in my life but would recommend this as the best yet (except Hugh Wirth who was exceptional!).

This op shop is on the smaller size but prices are fantastic so if you find what you want you can be confident the price will suit. The staff are also extremely friendly and helpful. I'm a regular op shopper and this is one of my favourites.

This supermarket is not in my area but I do often go past and always try to drop in there in preference to my local supermarket. This is because that although not a super large shop it has everything I need and the owner has given this supermarket an interesting twist by his choice of stock. He has a large continental choice and even the usual deli has a more traditional delicatessen feel. And this has not been at the expense of cost. They even carry the slightly obscure brand of tea I like which is impressive as that is hard to find. Staff are very friendly and parking is never any problem. An added bonus is the attached bakery which is absolutely FANTASTIC! All in all, shopping here is definitely a more pleasant experience than in one of the larger supermarkets!

Definitely the best service offered in Emerald (and that says a lot as service in this town is quite impressive compared to elsewhere). They go out of their way to help - have even managed to track down my phone number and ring me to let me know a parcel had arrived that they knew I needed urgently. They are always super friendly and a pleasure to deal with. And this is to the point that when they have a temporary staff member in I get a bit resentful because they may be just normal type friendly!!!!

All of my family have been seeing Rosemary Li now for some years and I cannot recommend her highly enough. She explains everything she is doing and if you are faced with a procedure which is looking tricky or expensive, she usually gives you options which are well-informed and clear. I have had an appointment squeezed in a couple of times with an emergency tooth situation, and I'm suspecting this was at the expense of her lunch break! She remembers who you are (an important trait these days when you can feel anonymous when dealing with professionals) and follows up on issues from your last visit. She is great with children and adults. I have recommended her to others and my feedback has always been that she is the best dentist they have seen for a long time and I can't agree more!

We had a family dinner recently and did enjoy ourselves. Service was good and when asked if they could bring one meal out asap they certainly did, with time to finish that meal without rushing (I gave them an extra Service star for that one!). 2 of the family members were not over the moon with their meal but everyone else was very happy. I had the salmon and it was fantastic. My husband had the goose and felt it was extremely sparse on the plate. Desserts were average although their sticky date pudding is always excellent. In conclusion, staff are friendly, the general ambience is above average, although the food is just average and slightly overpriced. I would still recommend the restaurant, although they are lucky there is no competition nearby.
