Very happy with my first shopping experience at 1st Choice. There are rows and rows of well sorted and organised alcohol beverages. Plenty of specials, a good variety of drinks that are refrigerated and reasonable prices. They just about have anything and everything you are after. There is a strong sense of customer service, with most of the staff ensuring that you find that special wine for that special occasion. Also accepts Fly buys!

Signed up at Vermont Video & DVD on the weekend, however, will not make a return. The shop smelt of stale smoke, the DVD's were in no particular order - especially the new releases, the shop was messy and highly unprofessional. As for the prices, they were exoberant, $7.95 for a new release DVD, they did have packaged deals but these were not available over the weekend, when most people hire DVD's. The DVD quality was unacceptable, but we were warned by the staff that if they were unclean they would clean it for free...thats great when you want a relaxing afternoon infront of the TV!

Who would have thought that a sophisticated wine bar/lounge would be found in Main St Croydon! This little lounge offers a charasmatic experience, whilst being sophisticated, it still manages to be relaxed. With comfy lounges, appropriate mellow music, and a vast arrange of wines and beers. The bar staff know their stuff and offer great suggestions. There is also a dining area in intimate booths or at a table. But, I had a few drinks with friends on the couches and was greatly impressed.

I am a big wrap for this moden bar situated down an alleyway on Main St Croydon. It is a hidden gem. Open most nights through out the week, the Sunday sessions are the best. With a juke box pumping, couches for those times of relaxation, big dance floor, and an outside area with fully furnished gas heaters, but in Summer its the perfect place for a cold beer and a chat...there isn't much wrong with Bazoo The bar staff are always happy and helpful, with plenty of drink variety. Often the staff will supply free pizza aswell through out the night. A great local spot.

Went to the York for some drinks on a Thursday night, they have a pub/club area which is open till 1am on a Thursday night. It was actually karaoke night as well, so not the best place for a quite relax. I found the pub to be fairly old fashioned, and a bit rough around the edges...however this was compensated by the friendly staff and any place is what you make it. No need to dress up for this pub!

Mark's place is relaxing Pizza restaurant, with casual dining, and kids welcome. There are plenty of options of which pizza choose, and all are covered completely with toppings. The chicken parma is massive, and anyone would be struggling to finish it off. The atmopshere is a sporting one, with some memorabiliia adorning the walls. There is a small dancefloor and place for a band, however neither of these were used on my visit. Instead, the projector was on with the Friday night footy game. A great place to relax with a beer, pizza, and ya mates.

If you want to see spectacular views of Melbourne be it day or night, then Sky High is the place to visit. A drive up the picturesque Mount Dandenongs leads to this refurbished restaurant/bistro and gardens. Great for a wedding reception, however I have visited for lunch, dinner and afternoon tea. Lunch was relaxing sitting by the open fire, a great selection of foccacias. Dinner is a tad more formal, unless you are after a pizza to sit outside with, which is just as nice and romantic. The staff are friendly, in what is often a busy restaurant, so I suggest book for dinner.

Fish and Chip shop on Canterbury Rd, nothing special about this shop. Regular prices, suitable service, quick service and pretty good fish and chips. The souvlaki was perfect, the lamb was roasted traditionally on a spit with charcoal, and this added to the flavour.

Had lunch at Barclay's, a cafe in Heathmont, which still holds some of its Victoria Bank significance. The cafe is an open setting, with timber floors, and a casual feel about it. The lunches are average in price but great in taste. Hot chocolates are nicely done, and the overall meal could not be faulted. On weekends they offer all day breakfast, and Friday night dinner. Was really happy with the service and meal - chicken wrap, yum!

Been a regular at this local pharmarcy for countless years. The pharmacists are always helpful, will look anything, answer questions, consult with your medical practitioner and give advice....all for nothing. The customer service is excellent, with plenty of informative people to give you the right advice. Prescriptions do not take very long. Large pharmacy, which has cosmetics, skin supplies, sporting injury supplies...pretty much everything and anything you need.
