This the place to go when we want a yummy steak meal. My partner loves a really well done steak and it took a bit of time to be cooked but for once he got it exactly as he wanted it well done but not burnt, they timed my medium rare steak to be ready at the same time. A very comfortable dining area, very enjoyable.

We often pop into the Southern Hotel for lunch during the week as they have great specials. The all you can eat soup,salad and dessert bar offers a fair assortment of salads, veges and desserts with two soups up for offer these are not gourmet by any means but nice basic food. I always enjoy the steaks here they have never let me down. The kids play area is loud but if you have no children with you and dine in the other dining room then you don't hear the noise. An all around nice dining experience if you are looking for a filling basic pub meal

We have been out to the Robern Menz Factory Outlet three times now and throughly enjoyed the visit on each occasion. Each time we visit there are different items on sale and the big bags do work out to be very economical. The mini choc coated honeycomb balls are my favourite but the kids cannot get past the fru chocs. Only problem being we eat our purchases far too quickly. The staff there in the factory shop are fantastic and always take time to hat to us and point out the specials

I so love visiting Melbas it is a joy to go there whenever we take a country drive. My all time favourite is the samples strategically placed and the smell is divine. The kids love watching the various chocolate/lolly making displays and the bag of sweets they are always allowed. We enjoyed watching the chocolate covered snakes going around the conveyor belt last time we were there. Well worth the trip.

I see Danny Gilbert here and for the first time today I took my daughter. I was very impressed with the service and the nice way my daughter was treated and treatment was discussed with her. The cost was covered ompletely by my health fund. There is no emphasis on over treatment at all and a lot of advice was given on how to prevent further problems

I was passing and went into the Gawler Hotbread Bakery for the first time today. At first I didn't think the variety of cakes was fabulous but I was there at end of trade so perhaps other lines had sold out. We bought an apple turnover this was delicious and a bargain at $2, a custard tart again $2 and the custard tasted amazing we bought three meringues for $2 they were a good size and tasty and some bread rolls to take home. I just tried one and they wee very noce crispy on the outside and soft inside. Very enjoyable

I have often shopped at the Starstore but only for school uniforms and swimwear, of which they have a great variety available all year round, however today I popped in and noticed what a fantastic assortment of gifts they have there. You will find something for everyone including bags, wallets, gifts for children, stationary and wonderful plaques with lovley sayings. Definately worth checking out

I love this jeweller not that I am dripping in jewellry but it is a great place to buy gifts also. I have several times been in for advice on having myjewellry repaired as well. I often buy charms for my daughters charm bracelets there and then they will solder them on for me. I only recently realised that they have an estate jewellry section and there are some great bargains to be had there. I have also used their key cutting service which was a reasonable price and very quick.

I walk past the butcher several times a week and they often have great specials going. Recently I bought twin pack of chickens for $6-99 these tasted great. I love their beef jerky and also they have nice pork snitzels. The topside mince is a good buy also along with the diced beef and beef strips. ALways friendly and most times I pop in on a Saturday morning they have a free sausage sizzle for customers
