We used a Voucher for our 1st visit here today. Friendly lady serving. The iced coffee was delicious, as was the roast chicken with avocado on a croissant bun. The voucher meant we only paid about $5 for the chicken bun but the menu stated it was normally $14. I would never pay that much for something so small. However, on the plus side, also received 24 mini tarts for $40 (again a voucher) which was good value, as normally retail for $3.50 each. I have no complaints about the service or the beautiful tarts but wouldn't go back if I had to pay full price - too expensive for me.

It's been awhile since I reviewed this place so thought I'd do an update.
My friend and I still visit here for our catch up dinners but it's now every month rather than every 2, as we just can't find anywhere else that's as good! They have also introduced a rewards card, so you get points on everything you buy. These can be exchanged for free coffee, pasta, pizza and if you get enough, a complete dinner for 2 with wine. It might take awhile to get the points but we come here anyway and enjoy the food, so no hardship at all. Love this place!

Had lunch here today with 2 friends and was suitably impressed. One of my friends ordered a cheese/garlic bread to go with her main dish of Calamari and salad. The mains came out and the bread was delayed by 2 minutes, so the waitress offered us a free glass of wine each. That was the first big tick! Then I couldn't eat all my Chicken Schnitzel Focaccia, (the serving size was incredible for the price!!) so I took out the Schnitzel and wrapped it in a serviette and left it on the plate, while I went inside to get a container. By the time I got back, the table had been cleared. I took the container back to them and even though it wasn't their fault, they had another schnitzel cooked for me to take home. Big tick number 2. Very impressed with customer service, generous serving sizes and the meals were very tasty too. Would have no hesitation in going back :)

This review is for Sofa Shop, Marion SA

Friendly sales person by the name of Sharon. Happy to show us how the sofa beds worked and the different materials we could choose from. Didn't feel pressured at all. Although we ended up spending more than we planned, we were very happy with our purchase. Even though it's called the "Sofa Shop", we did note they had a range of other furniture including side tables plus dining room table and chairs. Huge showroom which is apparently 100 metres long! Easy parking. They are a South Australian owned family business, with a lot of their stock made in Australia, which is an extra tick in my book. Original store is still in Mile End - This 2nd shop is in the suburb of Marion and has been here for 3 years. A good experience from our point of view.

This is an interesting set up. The main Café, with seating and a beautiful view of the sea, is right on the corner of Jetty Road and The Esplanade. Then attached to it but with a separate entrance right on the Esplanade itself, is a takeaway shop that sells seafood packs and ice cream - goes by the name of "View at 85" too. (That's what was printed on the receipt anyway). The Takeaway section is what we used today. We ordered the 2 pieces of Fish with small pack of chips & Tartare. If that was a small serve of chips, then the large pack must be enormous. Very generous serving indeed. The chips were crispy too - just the way I like them. Quiet today but would imagine they have a very busy time in the summer months. Jetty Road at Brighton has lots of sit down Cafe's as well as the Espy Hotel but this takeaway is ideal for those wanting to eat on the beach..... or like us, sit in the car and watch the waves. Would definitely go back again.

First visit here today - Sunday Lunch.
Used a Groupon Voucher and it was great value.

Prawn Chips, Spring Rolls, Chicken Soup, 2 mains to share plus rice and wine.

Everything was delicious. Freshly cooked so piping hot and the waiter was friendly. Perfect!

Would be very happy to go back.

After being ripped off by another company, my Mum called Adam Plumbing. She had seen their mobile number on the side of a van that was parked next us at traffic lights - Advertising does pay. A very friendly and polite young man came out and replaced the washer and fully explained that this would only be temporary as it did require more extensive work, that would involve removing some tiles. She is now waiting on a quote for this extra work. I will update this review as soon as the work is completed … but so far, very good!

My Mum called this company as she had a leaking shower. Two men came out and spent a short amount of time in the bathroom. Told my mum that they had replaced a washer. Charged her $360 for the privilege. In less than a week, it was dripping again. She phoned again and they came out - said they would need to remove the tiles so they could "re seat" it. Don't have a problem with that as such as the system is quite old but why bother changing the washer to start with and charging like a wounded bull? She is a pensioner and a bit of compassion and fairness would go a long way. NEVER again!! Do NOT recommend. (Just to clarify - My Mum lives in SA but used the 1300 number to book the plummer - the company's head office is in NSW).

Haven't been here for over 10 years so certainly noticed the difference last night when we met up with friends. Has been beautifully renovated. It's the first Pub I've been into that had full table service, paying the bill at the end of the meal. A reasonable amount of parking area at the back, that is accessed from the side road. The meals were very nice - Korma Beef Curry, Beef Schnitzel, Atlantic Salmon plus Fish and chips. Couldn't resist the $5 Coffee and Cake deal either, which was a slice of Lemon Cheesecake and whipped cream. Friendly staff. Will definitely be back!

We actually went to the Schnithouse that has recently opened in HILTON, on Sir Donald Bradman Drive. Used a voucher for any breakfast item on the menu with a coffee or juice. Had the Eggs Bene and it was beautiful. My partner had the poached eggs with toast and they were cooked to perfection. Friendly service too. We will be going back next week :)
