We've been to the Morphett Arms many times and I find it hard to go past their chicken schnitzel. Unlike many hotels, theirs is real chicken breast, as against the manufactured ones often found. The difference in taste is noticeable. Their salads and chips are great too.

Very impressed with this Subway shop. Service is friendly and efficient and the rolls are excellent. On Sundays they have any footlong sub for $8.00 (excluding the premium ones). Good value!
I needed an unusual needle threader for my tapestry wool and couldn't find one until I phoned Needle Nook. The lady was very helpful and actually had a small pack of two for only $1.95! I drove there straight away and was impressed with the service and the store. They didn't carry tapestry wools and cottons but she directed me to Cottage Crafts across the road. It's great that the two similar shops work together to help customers.

We discovered this shop when out for a drive and have been back a few times since. Their steak sandwiches are excellent - not soggy or too messy as many can be - and their hamburgers are good too. I loved their chips! Good service and obviously a popular shop.
Having recently joined a craft group where I'm (finally) working on a patient tapestry, I needed to find some wool and other items. Entering this craft shop brought an instant smile. The range of wools and cottons is excellent, there are many new canvasses and everything else needed. The lady working in the shop, Trish, was very friendly and helpful. I'll definitely be going there in future!
Having just joined a craft group, I needed some more tapestry wool but was unsure if I could match the older colours. No problem, as their range of wools and stranded cottons is very good. I also found a pack of 36 stranded cottons in mixed colours for only $5.00! Great for embroidery.
It was difficult to find any staff free to assist but it wasn't a problem this time.
This is one of my favourite places and it never seems to disappoint. Their schnitzels are excellent and the chips are too. The salad is typical of what you find, but no complaints. The dining room is very attractive and the staff very friendly and helpful. I love the table service when they fill your glasses with water and make you feel very welcome.
Approximate cost: $14
I've been to the "TA" a couple of times and it has a nice atmosphere and decor. Their chicken burger was quite good, although the chicken could have been hotter, but overall it was fine. The front bar (where you can have burgers) can be noisy, but the dining room is attractive and worth paying that bit extra.
Approximate cost: $15
We've been to the Norwood Hotel several times and I consider their open steak sandwich to be one of the best I've had anywhere. Staff are friendly and helpful and the menu is varied and good value. I love their "Irish" room, and the area that has Irish styled shopfronts.
Approximate cost: $18
Scott Cowden does the quotes and is a real character. :-) However, his knowledge is good and the cost reasonable. We had four blinds installed in two back rooms and Scott's just quoted on two more new blinds for a front room. They do custom-made and have several different styles.
