The combination of chocolate and harbour views makes for a very pleasant day out. The tasty breakfast and lunch/dinner menu is perhaps somewhat eclipsed by the mouth-watering selection of cakes and desserts on offer – enough to make the tastebuds of even the strictest dieter run riot! We were enticed by the ‘chocolate degustation plate' and although we shared it between four, we still didn't manage to do it any justice! (I've since re-thought my strategy, and will in future increase the balance of savoury foods to avoid chocolate-overload). Guylian café is well worth a visit to Circular Quay.

This place offers casual Indian dining, with authentic tasting food at a very good price. The unassuming interior makes for a relaxed atmosphere, where the focus is on food and conversation. Staff are friendly and do their best to ensure diners are looked after. The menu also offers a range of traditional drinks and desserts.

I first ate here almost a decade ago, and was immediately hooked. And despite long absences in between visits, nothing ever changes – the food is still fantastic, the service dependable, and the ambience wonderful. This quaint Italian restaurant certainly offers a memorable dining experience – upon entering, the first thing you notice are the chianti bottles dangling from the ceiling. The interior is comfortable and cosy, and there is a good view of the guys at the pizza station, incredibly adept at what they do. Book ahead, as the place is generally packed.

This place offers waterfront dining, which is a definite draw card. The outdoor seating area is enclosed with clear screens, allowing for a great view without the concern of sand particles flying about on windier days. The staff are welcoming and attentive. The menu specialises in seafood (the prawns here are particularly delicious), while the dessert range will easily tempt one into over-eating. This place really does make for a perfect summer afternoon.

I have been dining at this place for over a decade now, and though it's changed hands during that time, Portofino still serves fine Italian cuisine. The menu has a wide selection of pizza, pasta and seafood options, all deliciously presented, and the dessert menu is a sensation. The atmosphere is always buzzing – I would recommend booking ahead, particularly on weekends, owing to the popularity of this place. There is also an upstairs seating area with an open balcony. Prices are reasonable, considering the venue.

I do not plan on using this company again. They were several weeks late on our order, with little effort made to communicate this delay and no apology or even acknowledgement of the inconvenience. Less than a year after it was all installed, we had trouble with the gate motor, and though it was within warranty, it couldn't be honoured because of brand changes, and I ended up paying for a brand new motor, as well as the cost of another installation. However, the fence/gate panels themselves were well made and of high quality.

A nice little spot for breakfast/lunch/dinner, or anything in between. The menu offers a great range of meals and snacks (the risotto is particularly good), a mouth-watering display of cakes and sweets, and also hot and cold drinks. There is sometimes a wait on the food if it's busy, but its well worth it. For those working nearby, phone orders are available to avoid waiting time. The host/chef is very amiable, and works tirelessly to ensure customers have a positive dining experience.

This place, which has only recently opened, overlooks the bay. There is both indoor and outdoor seating, and both allow a good view. The backdrop of park goers makes for a casual, laidback feel during the day. They also open for dinner Thurs, Fri and Sat nights, where customers can choose a 2 course or 3 course meal from a set menu - I went on a Saturday night and was definately impressed by the well-presented great tasting food, all reasonably priced, and the friendly service. This place is the ideal substitute for those of us drawn to Brighton le Sands because of the beach, but reluctant to battle the crowds. And it's perfectly situated for that after dinner stroll.

Great-tasting food at a reasonable price. This used to be a regular haunt of ours over the span of a decade, and in that time, it never dropped its quality. Having moved out of the area, our visits are much less frequent, but we'll still stop by for delicious schezuan chicken and chow mein noodles when we can. The fried ice-cream is also a favourite (many restaurants make the batter too thick and unevenly cooked, but here it's perfect every time). The restaurant is roomy and comfortable, with pleasant window seating overlooking the motel opposite, and separate seating areas for functions and meetings. There is live music Friday and Saturday nights, when the restaurant tends to be packed with happy diners, while the lobsters jiving about in their tank provide a different sort of entertainment over by the bar area.

This café is a great place for a quick snack or a light meal. They have a good range of sandwiches, pastries, muffins, cakes etc. There hot drinks are equally tempting – coffees, teas, hot chocolate and the like – and the ‘buy 10 coffees, get 1 free' loyalty card is an added incentive to return! Open 7am – 4:15pm, Mon-Sat.
