Really nice cafe with a great atmosphere. Located near the water in the park, it has indoor and outdoor seating. Coffee was good and has a good food menu

Great food and great view! I especially like going there for lunch and then taking a walk in Carss Park. Tad expensive though, and too cold in Winter.

The cafe has a beautiful setting in Carss Park, overlooking Kogarah Bay. The cafe is a a tad expensive for what it is and both my husband and I found our meals there to be disappointing. The service was good, but the value was not there. I would probably come again though because I love the park area and doing social things around there. I would not recommend this cafe though.

My experience was my nephews wedding on a balmy sat night late March 2012. Finger food, displayed and presented on trays to you with napkin. Every morsel was pleasant. A good mix of about 6 dishes some hot some cold pluse box of risotto and crocembuche to finish the night. Drinks served at bar and the setting topped off a wonderful night. Two prepared fresh the food and none were disappointed expecially the tappas type bits, fish and meat and vegetarian catered for. Pleasant experience if you like informality and letting the kids go in the park next to you till the sun goes down. A bit of a walk down the hill for the not so young but doable by most and wheelchair safe. Would do it again for the cost. Relaxing at weddings is my thing and this did it for me.

Approximate cost: $30 1+ per person

Great location in the middle of the park. Able to sit and finish off our breakfast/lunch while the kids run around in the park. Their breakfast menu is great value and hearty meals. Lunch menu bit more fancy but really nice. Very relaxing atmosphere. Very quiet lovely view. Also has a side kiosk where you can buy drinks, coffee, ice cream etc

This place, which has only recently opened, overlooks the bay. There is both indoor and outdoor seating, and both allow a good view. The backdrop of park goers makes for a casual, laidback feel during the day. They also open for dinner Thurs, Fri and Sat nights, where customers can choose a 2 course or 3 course meal from a set menu - I went on a Saturday night and was definately impressed by the well-presented great tasting food, all reasonably priced, and the friendly service. This place is the ideal substitute for those of us drawn to Brighton le Sands because of the beach, but reluctant to battle the crowds. And it's perfectly situated for that after dinner stroll.
