Nestled among the little Ripponlea shopping strip on Glen Eira Road is this fabulous little cafe.
My partner loves the coffee, he says it's one of the best places to go.
The food is always tasty and always fills the hole.
Service is great, can't fault it.
Love waking up on a weekend, or a weekday, and wandering across the highway for a lovely brunch or lunch date.

This is definitely our local burger joint, even if it is a 10 minute drive!
We tend to get there late in the evening, in the last hour of trade, right when they would rather be packing down for the day. The staff are always chipper, the food is always fab, and I can never finish my meal because it's so big!
Last visit, I ordered the Creamed Soda and it knocked my socks right off!
We gave the last and lonely Redskin Chocolate Brownie a loving home, too. My goodness, that was beyond delicious.
Tuck Shop Take Away - do it, you won't be disappointed.

My partner called around 6pm on a Saturday evening in December to make an impromptu booking to celebrate a personal milestone.
At 8pm, we arrived and were seated. Menus and water were provided promptly by friendly wait staff.
We ordered the Zorba's Banquet for two. The food was very quick to come out, was fresh and delicious (though the saganaki was slightly overdone, and the taramasalata was slightly too salty (and we like salty foods!)). The lamb plate was simply divine.
Despite having hardly eaten all day, our eyes were bigger than our bellies and we could not eat another morsel of food.
We will be back, most definitely, but perhaps will order a smaller banquet so we can try the baklava!

Lauren and I have been friends for a few years now, and I'd always admired her works, but as I don't have many children in my life, I never thought of purchasing anything from her.
She did limited edition bus scrolls for Father's Day this year, and I purchased one for my father and another for my grandfather. I'm yet to frame them and give them to them (life gets in the way) but the quality of the print is great, and I know they will love them once framed.
Love a Rhino specialise in birth stat prints and canvases. Do check them out, they're really great as gifts or decor for your own little one's room.

After our local fish and chip shop closed down to make way for a new apartment block in Ormond Village, Elwood, we were faced with finding a new local.
We tried a few around the traps but weren't overly impressed with the quality or the price.
We looked on UrbanSpoon and TrueLocal for good reviews, and came across Fish Tank. We also had a quick chat to one of our neighbours (we live in an apartment building) who also heard good things from their friends about 'the fish and chip shop in Brighton near Coles'.
We arrived and the place was BUZZING. Straight away we knew we were onto a good thing.
Although extremely busy, their shop was well presented, as were their staff.
I work late so we tend to get there close to closing time, but they are still more than happy to take our order, have a chat about our days while waiting for the order, and always provide service with a smile.
Thank you, Fish Tank, for being a great place to eat (or take away) and provide fantastic quality food at a great price. We happily return each time!
(Our usual order is the Fisherman's Delight pack (see the menu here: http://www.fishtankbrighton.com.au/index.php?option=com_content&view=article&id=7&Itemid=8)

I had troubles with my login although I was using the correct credentials a few months ago. I had a serious case of the CBFs and just created a new login, of which I never really used.
I emailed the WOMO team, and within less than 24 hours, they linked my accounts and I am now back to reviewing like normal! Thanks so much, Sonia!

Christmas Day we dined here in the evening for the second or third time (my partner and I are still debating about that!) and we weren't disappointed! Deliciously fresh food, quick to arrive to the table (we ordered several tapas dishes) though one was forgotten about til we asked for it, and lovely staff.
Excellent ambiance and ocean views (if you're lucky enough to get a window seat!).

This review is for Beauty By Phoebe, Melbourne VIC

I'm pretty clueless when it comes to makeup - thanks to my horrible skin allergies. I mean, I've got the basics under control but that's about it.
So when I found out a mate of mine has a girlfriend who is a mobile makeup artist, and I had a wedding to attend, I thought nothing more than to book Phoebe in.
Phoebe came to my house fully prepped and ready to go. I'd sent her pictures (well, my Pinterest Beauty board actually) of makeup looks I like, and without even so much as hinting at which one I preferred, Phoebe's intuition and knowledge proved amazing as she picked the look I was after from well over 100 pins!
Phoebe explained step by step what she was doing, the colours she was using, the brands, and showed me my reflection at each stage - a complete professional.
As well as doing my makeup, Phoebe helped me out with my hair crisis - I had never used a curling iron on my hair before but had loaned one from a friend to use. Phoebe curled my hair beautifully (might I add, I only asked her to help me out when she arrived!) and I loved it!
I've got another wedding to attend this weekend, and have Phoebe coming along to do my hair and makeup again. I'm also going to book a makeup lesson with her ($40) so I can learn new tips and tricks.

Family members of my partner have their wedding registry through Melbourne Wedding Registry. I'm not a fan of registries, but this worked out well because we aren't particularly close to the family member and didn't know what to get them.
Making the purchase was relatively pain free, however I took deep offense to having to list MY marital status (nb. this is a mandatory field AND there is no option to select 'other' or 'do not wish to specify'). Moving forward with the purchase, you could not proceed without reading the terms and conditions, which is fair enough. I am someone who DOES read T&Cs, so when I read that the GUESTS had to pay a handling fee for something that was requested by the bride and groom, again, I was a little put off. However as we have not had the time to make it across town to the shop to make the purchase, I accepted the T&Cs.
Upon checkout, I expected to see the handling charges BEFORE I processed the transaction, however they did not appear until AFTER card details had been entered and processed. Really not cool, Melbourne Wedding Registry. As two uni students, it would have been cheaper for us to drive across town and make the purchase as opposed to being stung a handling fee that we COULD NOT SEE PRIOR TO PROCESSING!

We've had pizza from here a few times now; another great little pizza place! Still discovering the menu but very impressed. Try the Caprina, you won't be disappointed!
