Love their chips. Love their burgers.

Still so gooood! Yummy burgers with a real American cafeteria thing going on with serving up their combos in their funky school trays. Chips are to die for the the adventurous shakes too!

A very vintage style western restaurant. They have really nice burgers and fries, the icecream in the cup was really cute.

Best burgers in Melbourne! Been to many places, tried many burgers & I'll always go back to saying this place supplies the best. Not to mentioned the triple cooked chips, incredible!

Patties are cooked to perfection but to me that is a little undercooked & pink. A great choice for like minded people!

Very cute takeaway tuckshop. Rotating menu so you should always be able to find something you like. Nutella milkshake is stunning and burgers are super yummy!

I went in expecting more, my mistake. The Nutella milkshake was nice, but the straw was a paper straw so it started disintegrating which was gross. None of the menu was what I was after, burgers seemed to be the only thing and looking around they didn't look great. So I just ordered the chips, the were the thinnest chips I've ever had, they lacked flavour and it was overpriced. I won't be returning

I came here with a friend after hearing fantastic reviews from everyone who had come in before. We found out the they had a rotating menu, so unfortunately a lot of food we expected to see wasn't actually available when we came in. We ended up ordering chips as nothing else appealed to us from the current menu. It was a little unnerving to see the uncooked chips stacked in a large plastic tub below the counter. Usually they would be left in the kitchen, not out for customers to see. Once served, I found the chips were lacking in flavor and ended up smothering them with sauce in order to be able to enjoy them just enough to eat them. The drink I ordered tasted incredibly strange, there was nothing 'normal' to drink apart from water and homemade cola which they had run out of. I hope to try something more appetizing if I ever return.

A tuckshop that would put most other tuckshops to shame, or out of business (although that is debtable considering that the cheapest thing on the menu is the $4.50 junior/kid's burger.
The place is old school-vintage themed, with blackboards, milk bottle serving glasses, paper swizzle straws and old-school food items such as milkshakes, homemade jaffles and iced-volvos (much more gourmet and classy versions of the originals, naturally) in addition to the burgers.
Really fun, high quality experience. Indulge in your inner child in a slightly grown-up sophisticated manner.

This is definitely our local burger joint, even if it is a 10 minute drive!
We tend to get there late in the evening, in the last hour of trade, right when they would rather be packing down for the day. The staff are always chipper, the food is always fab, and I can never finish my meal because it's so big!
Last visit, I ordered the Creamed Soda and it knocked my socks right off!
We gave the last and lonely Redskin Chocolate Brownie a loving home, too. My goodness, that was beyond delicious.
Tuck Shop Take Away - do it, you won't be disappointed.

I tried Tuckshop Takeaway and was very happy with the products this new shop is producing. I order the minor burger (beef with salad, cheese, pickle and mustard) and some handout chips. I also had a small Nutella milkshake which was so so good (they also offer a redskin milkshake that I will be back to try). For dessert I had a redskin brownie which was so tasty and so cool. Who would have thought to put redskins in a brownie!? There is limited seating so come at a quiet time (eg later afternoon) or just grab it to go. The staff are very friendly so I can only imagine their business will do great as the months go on :)

Approximate cost: $10 a burger
