Came for lunch. It was busy and we were told we would have to share a table which was OK with us. I had the lamb kefta which was tasty but it was a small serving for the price I paid. My friend had a fish dish which she was happy with. We have also come here for after work drinks and it was a shambles. We were made to queue for nearly an hour but the venue was only a third to a half full. Not sure if it had something to do with a restricted licence when they started out. As our friends had gotten there before us, by the time we got in, it was time to go!! They may have gotten over the teething problems now and I think it is an original concept (apparently the herbs used in the dishes are grown on the rooftop!) that'll probably be successful once it gets going.

Came here for lunch about 2 weeks ago. Ordered a toasted chicken and avocado panini and a coffee. Coffee was great and came out quickly but the panini took ages to arrive. Went up to the counter to check and told it was on its way - then there was a little bit more of a wait. The panini was pre-made sitting on a plate full other ones so I can only think that they forgot to put it in the toaster! No apologies forthcoming. It was real (as opposed to processed) chicken and the serving of avocado was generous.

Not sure how to rate the restaurant of the Queens Hotel. I have been here before (a long time ago) and the experience was fine. I met up with a friend 2 weeks ago for lunch. The service was shocking. We were shown to a table and then could not manage to get any service. We were using our work lunch hour and had to be back at work so we got up and left. It was about a 15 minute wait after getting menus before we left. We just couldn't get anyone's attention! 3 stars for value - I did get a chance to peruse the menu although obviously didn't try any food!

I'd love to give this local place more stars but just can't. Perhaps I went on an 'off' day. The scrambled eggs I ordered looked like they had been sitting a while and looked similar to the eggs one sees at buffets in bain maries! Water had even collected around the bottom of the eggs! It was tasteless and not creamy. The toast (New Norcia bread I think) was nice though. My partner had the pancake stack and fared better. It came with berries and maple syrup and was delicious. The pancakes avoided a 2 star rating for quality. Coffees were great too.

Overall a good experience. We ordered 2 salad bars plus a beef burger from the menu. The burger was HUGE and the serve of fries generous. Tasted pretty good but the pattie was slightly over-salted. Salad bar generally remained well-stocked throughout which was good because it was a busy Saturday lunch time. Great thing is that toddlers eat free!

OK, it is a Sizzler so one can't be expecting too much! However, the service was slow (surprising for the start of the lunch hour, which is 11am for Sizzler) and very unfriendly. There were staff members walking around, including around the area of the till but they didn't help the sole staff member taking orders. Other staff serving within the restaurant were friendly though. The food was fresh and the selection good and I noted that the salad bar area was kept well-stocked and clean at all times by staff.

Stayed at the Sheraton and decided to have dinner at Origins. It helped that we had the Entertainment Gold card as it is pricey. The setting is lovely; perfect for a romantic evening. We were given a table by the pool. The food was only so-so, although desserts were delicious. The presentation was clumsy and messy. My parner's lamb was swimming in a large serving of a very thin jus, splashed all about the plate. I had a seafood pasta - the flavours of which were excellent. Just a shame it was swimming in oil. The pasta was overcooked and had been sitting a while which made it clump together. I have a feeling perhaps that the head chef wasn't on that night. The service was a great mix of friendliness and attentiveness but we still had our own space.

Had a lovely dinner at Tom's Kitchen. The pasta we ordered was home-made to perfection and the flavours wonderfully balanced. Service was fantastic. Can't wait to return and try the other dishes.

This review is for Andaluz Bar And Tapas, Perth WA

It's not authentic tapas (we dined with our friend who is Spanish) but the dishes were tasty (although small and over-priced). That being said, with 'tapas' springing up all over Perth now, I don't think it was comparatively sub-standard on any level. Wine range was good. The setting and ambience were cosy. Certainly a welcome addition to what is otherwise a boring CBD area. There was some confusion with the service - whether it was table or up at the bar (for the food and wine) and the staff were as cold as ice blocks. After a long wait with no table service, we tried to order at the bar, only be told to return to our table for service. Then another long wait! I can see that this place has potential but the staff really soured my experience.

Had laser eye surgery performed by Prof Crawford late last year at the Lions Eye Institute. Had a good result but did return for revisionary surgery which Prof Crawford had no hesitations doing (without extra charge). Still awaiting the outcome but have been very happy with the quality of service thus far. Prof Crawford and his team have been wonderful to deal with and the after procedure care and follow-up were excellent.
