Joined a group of 12-15 for friends birthday lunch. First orders were taken well but food delivered at all different times with one person not getting their mains til some had almost finished at the table ! My seafood gumbo was nice but not great and a little small for a $30 price and my partners duck cassoulet although very tasty was tiny and not enough for dinner even for her who is not a big eater (a man would have devoured this as an entrée !!) Service basically stopped after mains with requests for desert and coffees pretty much ignored until we gave up and left !

Approximate cost: $30

The quality of the food and drinks is excellent, however service is extremely slow, at least an hour wait on mains. The mains could be cheaper for what they are, but the quality of the food is still very good. If they had faster service would make the place perfect. Atmosphere is always buzzing.

Approximate cost: $25

Eating in the huge, barn-like dining area is a bit challenging if you want to hold a conversation, garden better if it's nice weather and you avoid the drunks. Drinks at the bar can take a while during busy periods. Food always nice and reasonably priced. Had an awesome mushroom risotto recently which is the best I've had out for some time.

Approximate cost: $25.00

Not sure how to rate the restaurant of the Queens Hotel. I have been here before (a long time ago) and the experience was fine. I met up with a friend 2 weeks ago for lunch. The service was shocking. We were shown to a table and then could not manage to get any service. We were using our work lunch hour and had to be back at work so we got up and left. It was about a 15 minute wait after getting menus before we left. We just couldn't get anyone's attention! 3 stars for value - I did get a chance to peruse the menu although obviously didn't try any food!

Took my old Aunty [82] out for lunch and they could not do enough for us - we could not fault the food or service.
Great venue - old pub done up and parking is around the back down a small allyway.

Approximate cost: $18-30
