Cheap as chips lunch menu!

OK, the value is amazing. Plenty of food for your money.
For $6.50 you can choose from a list of about 20 dishes, with tofu, beef, chicken or pork with various sauces with rice noodles or flat noodles.

The quality is OK, it's not gourmet, but then that's not why you come here!

Service has been pretty shockingly slow on a couple of occasions, on others it's just fine. But you put up with these things for the value.

This place is nice enough. Portion sizes are adequate. I must say the decor is rather dowdy, it reminded me of a hospital. The tables are also rather wide making you feel quite distant from the person opposite.

We had curry puffs and satay chicken to start which were nice and just OK respectively. The red duck curry is nice but rather short on quality duck meat. I forget the other main which tells you how inspired I was by it. Whilst not expensive, I feel for what we got it was overpriced.

Two starters and two mains with a portion of rice between two people was more than enough.

On the negative side the food was average and the ambiance was rather lacking.

Underwhelming.

I think there are better places for Thai food in this area.

Came here for lunch with 4 others. Their $10 lunch menu is amazing. Really wide range of main available and the soup is really great, the price includes a soft drink. This really is fantastic value and included pretty much all of the main menu. Plenty of vegetarian options too (as with most Thai places).

I would definitely come back. Service speed was OK, not super fast but good enough for work lunch break. The kitchen is open so you can see your food being prepared.

Newtown is scattered with good Thai places, and whilst I wouldn't recommend this place as a place for a corporate lunch with guests, it is worth a go with your colleagues! Try it out!

Fresh to Australia I headed here and demanded an Oz! The kangaroo burger itself was average, but the bread and relish were good and chips also tasty. I really would like to come back and try some of the rest of the menu.

I give them 3 out of 5 for quality based on my experience so far but expect the rest of the menu to bump up their score (alas I can only judge what I've tasted!).

It was a cute little place and I'd much rather they had my money than a commercial chain. I enjoyed the decor and mixed seating design and would bring friends for a chat over lunch.

Not they shut early Monday to Wednesday (3pm) but are open til 10pm for the rest of the week.

This is not fine dining. I guess it's ok if you are really in a hurry/drunk but I have to say I am not really very impressed. These are the kind of pizzas which all taste the same no matter what you order. I've been here twice and was not really pleased either time. If I'm going to get this kind of pizza I would rather pay more at Dominoes across the road I've decided.

We came here for a quiet late Sunday afternoon snack. I had a latte with Salmones (smoked salmon, asparagus & scrambled egg on sourdough) and my partner had French toast with ricotta, honey & strawberries. Our waiter was friendly and helpful and very chatty. The setting is nice if you can get a seat outside.

The coffee was good, my Salmones was a decent size, bread was tasty and egg cooked very well as was the asparagus. The salmon was overly seasoned for me but overall I was pleased.

My girlfriend has the French toast and she seemed to enjoy it!
The toast was a little over priced for me but the Salmones OK. I would definitely go back and sample more of the menu.

If this cafe is full there is a similar looking one next door which appears to be more of a bakery, but I have not sampled there yet.

Salon pretty quiet, was open after work (til at least 5:30 on a weekday) only the owner working and waited for the previous customer to finish before I got my cut.

The guy is really nice, quirky, but friendly. Will have a chat if you want to. He checked with me that each aspect of my hair was as I wanted it, if I said I wanted it slightly different he was pleased to change it.

I paid 30 bucks at JustCuts and was appalled at the quality and service. This guy on the other hand was good value at 20 bucks (even if it was a really basic short back and sides) and I enjoyed my visit. I will definitely come here for my cuts in future.
