The food here is wonderful, and the Vindaloo is actually hot, thank goodness! I don't know which menu von84l was looking at, because at dinnertime on a Thursday all meat curries were around $23 (no butter chicken for $16.50). Everything here was slightly overpriced compared to other Indian restaurants in Perth (i.e. $7.50 for 2 serves of rice!), but was worth it for the exceptional quality. The range of Naan types here is amazing (about 10!). Corkage is on the expensive side ($7) and BYO not allowed on Fridays & Saturdays.

My pasta was pretty good and the pizzas are wood fired and about what I'd expected (I had a better pizza experience than the other reviewer). One of my friends had the steak, which he said was very dry and he didn't enjoy at all. The dessert pizza was AWESOME and I felt that the prices were reasonable. This is your standard, tiled Italian restaurant and it's great for a casual night out with friends.

I don't know what the big deal is about this place. Sure, the food is ok - but it is no better than any other Italian joint in Fremantle (and there are heaps). You have to line up for ages to get a table. Not worth the wait or the price. Still, the fact remains that it is very popular.

Went here with workmates for dinner. We paid $60 for a 3 course meal, and I can't say many good things about the food, although the staff were well mannered and pleasant. Entrees were ok, I had chorizo skewers. Mains - I had chicken linguine which was tasteless and too rich and my husband had a steak, which was done medium-rare but somehow was still very dry (all others who ordered this said the same). For dessert I had cheesecake, which was rock hard and tasted like it was a week old. I ordered a glass of Chardonnay which tasted like the bottle had been open for a week (either that or it was a $4 bottle of wine being charged at $8 per glass).

This is a really decent place for lunch. Their Chicken & Avocado and Scotch Fillet toasted rolls and sandwiches are delicious and under $10. I have lunch here regularly. The coffee is consistently good quality and I've never been unhappy with it. The new owners here have really brought the place up and notch and the decor is way more funky than it was before.

I recently took my cat here for a vaccination. I found the female vet to be pleasant and professional. She was very patient with my semi-difficult pet too. I felt she could have communicated more (I've been to other checkup appointments where I'll get more information - ie her teeth look healthy, etc), considering the cost of a vet consultation, but nevertheless she ran on time and got the job done.

This review is for Savini, Mount Lawley WA

I visited Savini for lunch on a Friday with workmates for an end of year celebration. The food was absolutely fantastic and I found the service to be just fine - not the fastest in the whole world, but I can't say I was in a hurry and actually appreciated how laid back everything was. This is a little slice of Italy and is run by genuine Italians. We had antipasto platters, which were fantastic. The garlic bread was overpriced and overcooked. The oysters were fresh and so delicious. The chilli mussels, although not very chilli, were cooked to perfection. I hear the risotto is a bit tasteless so I'd stay away from that. To finish, the Tiramisu tasted just like my Nonna's. We had a wonderful time! Unfortunately the woodfired pizza oven was not working that day, a shame because I hear it's their specialty.

XWray is a bar/restaurant hidden away in a little lane way in Fremantle. The decor is awesome vintage, the atmosphere is relaxed and the food and drink are good quality. I wish I lived closer so I could go here more often!

I went here with some friends for coffee on Saturday morning. The atmosphere is relaxed, and the coffee is decent (I'd recommend a double shot, it's not the strongest). There is a decent range of cakes available, and the breakfasts I saw others eating were well portioned and looked yummy.

I had a new antenna installed and found the price to be very reasonable and the service was polite and prompt. When I had further reception problems, the service man suggested a number of solutions (not just the one that would make him the most money) and fixed my problem quickly and economically.
