Have been a Bank of Queensland customer for many years and the North Lakes Branch continues the tradition of great customer service, with tellers being helpful and patient with different types of banking requests, and always willing to explain.

Good local medical practice. Can usually get an appointment that day. My particular GP is very caring and thoughtful, however, when she hasn't been available I have been well looked after by other GPs. Helpful receptionists.

Nev was recommended by a friend after my car brand mechanics were wanting to charge thousands to do work on my car. A lot of this work didn't need to be done, I discovered. Nev's service is personal and extremely helpful. Nev is honest and upfront about what does and doesn't need to be done and gives you more than value for money, he gives his time and care, and treats you like a real person. Don't be put off by the location (a small shed in a light industrial estate), you and your car will be looked after well.

I love Banjo's sandwiches and am always very tempted by their patisserie range (scrumptious little tarts and cakes). The service here has been friendly and fun each time I have been there. One word of warning- some sandwiches sell out so it can be worth ordering ahead!

A little bit quirky, usually friendly service, particularly for regulars- a bit more impersonal if you are not. Definitely tasty with a good range of meal options. Reasonable price. A nice spot on the Esplanade. A good place to meet friends for breakfast before work.

I love Doug's. Whenever I have breakfast anywhere else I'm like: I could have had it tastier, quicker and certainly for a much lower price, at Doug's. This is a great spot to stop if you are a cyclist. There is a good view over the waterfront and places in the shade or with a little bit of warm sun if it's winter. The service is mostly very good- there are a couple particularly good waitstaff. The value for money is particularly good and my friend and I have been able to alter our orders slightly to get exactly what we want (i.e. to avoid extra food we wont eat) and not have to pay extra, this is great! And it's tasty and reasonably quick unless its really busy. Things arent always 100% perfect but are consistently pretty close, hence the 5 stars. If you have a problem with your meal, let them know, and if they aren't super busy they will quickly do something about it.

Approximate cost: $6 1 bacon, 1 egg 1 toast

Hung out here one night for a friends birthday. Some positives were a great band that made the night more fun and the service was also good - love the buzzer things that tell you when to collect your meal. The meal I got was tasty but there wasn't much range to choose from- would make me hesitate to invite friends here for a night out, if they might be hungry after work. The drinks were also incredibly exxy. Really, does a cocktail need to be $10? However, the vibe was good and we had a fun night out. Getting out actually turned out to be quite complex- getting in earlier in the night you can walk in from anywhere, but there is only one way out, which is good for safety and keeping out the idiots! (Head to the lifts, the exit is near there).

Three really good things here: the bread. It is really tasty. It is also a good price. And the reward system which is kind of fun and gets you a free loaf! The service can be a bit odd at times, but is well meant. The eftpos minimum is also a pain as it means you need cash to get a loaf of bread. This has often stopped me shopping here.

Approximate cost: $3.20 loaf

This review is for Strathpine Bicycle Centre, Strathpine QLD

Although I dont live in Strathpine anymore, I still travel to this store for my bike needs, particularly for servicing- I got my bike serviced elsewhere and it just wasn't as good as here. Having also shopped around for a new road bike in the last year, I definitely got an amazing deal here (hundreds off) and am very happy with my bike; rather than being upsold, I got the bike that suited me and my needs. The customer service can be variable and slow, but I have also been treated really well here.

I have been shopping here since this place was Farmer Pat's and what is great is that the prices have stayed so affordable!! Like some of the other reviewers I eat a lot of fresh fruit and vege, so I really need to find competitive prices and they are consistently better here than anywhere else locally. The quality of food is also good and there are useful packs and regular sales. In fact I recommend taking advantage of the daily or weekly specials. The service was a little friendlier when it was Farmer Pat's but is still pretty good.

Approximate cost: $30 for a couple bags
