Dropped in for a quick coffee and chat with a friend. The cakes and pastries are yummy, the coffee good and it seems a good place to just sit and chat for a while (not too crowded). The service was a little slow, but may be because they were understaffed on the day I visited.

We have adopted two cats from the CPA and I would heartily recommend it to anyone who is looking for a cat. The cats are all desexed and microchipped, and the CPA makes sure they match cats with the right owners - unlike pet stores. The selection of cats and kittens varies, but there has always been one to steal our heart when we've visited! They also sell a range of cat food and products. The value is great too, and the money goes towards the CPA's work in helping abandoned cats find new homes.

A really friendly family veterinary hospital. Paul will take good care of your pets! The value was excellent, and the whole experience was unstressful. There weren't heaps of other pets/pet owners crowding the waiting room, and Paul took the time to chat and find out about our cat and our household so he could give her the best care.

Very friendly and helpful vet service. You can also buy limited pet supplies such as pet food, collars, etc. They place a high value on communicating with customers - after our cat died and we took her body to this vet, we got a sympathy card a few days later from them. It's little touches like that, as well as their excellent pet care, that make them one of the best.

This review is for On The Verge Cafe, Maroubra NSW

A cheerful little cafe on the corner near Bowen Library and Maroubra Junction Public School. Seems popular with mums after/before doing the school drop offs and pick ups. The staff are mostly friendly, the food is yummy and the coffee is delicious. Clean and bright decor, with interesting quirky touches that make it more interesting than most cafes.

Located in the middle of the Sydney Central Plaza thoroughfare, this hair salon has a strange feel. It's busy and loud and the staff often seem distracted and don't seem to take a huge effort to give you attentive service. However, I have had the best haircuts in years from here, and the value is really good. If you join free as a member you also can get special discounts on Mondays and Tuesdays. So I'd be willing to sacrifice the personalised service for a really good haircut!

Tucked away in O'Connell St just off busy King St, the Berkelouw bookshop in Newtown is a must visit. They have an excellent selection of new books, including a great design/art section, as well as a vast second-hand selection upstairs. A highlight is definitely the comfy cafe with delicious cakes and coffee, and a wonderful atmosphere that makes this one of my favourite places to visit with friends.

I love the DVD rental experience from DVD Lounge. I can access the collection at home on the internet, reserve movies and go pick them up at any time of the day or night. The shop is clean and modern, and the funky preview booths are a drawcard. They have a good selection, and during staffed hours, the staff are always friendly and helpful.

Absolutely delicious tarts and cakes. I bought several items for a recent party and they were very good value. You can also stop for coffee and cake or lunch, and although the cafe is on busy Botany Road, the delicious food more than makes up for it!

Recently opened, great selection of plants and landscaping supplies. Lots of young stock, not so many more mature plants, but I think they grow all their own plants so maybe a return visit in a few months will show more variety. Well laid out nursery and the staff seemed to know their stuff.
