I really like this fruit and veg shop - and supporting the small player against one of the big two (less than 15m from the shop) is great. iFruit Fresh has some great staff who are always really helpful and seem happy to be there. Just bought some Back Creek cherries from Young, a 1kg box (something special about that) for $25, which might seem a little expensive. However, these things are the size of small plums, are fresh and are worth it - we were actually in Young this time last year and $25 is the going price for premium cherries per kg, so to have it here in Brissy for the same price and the quality, just demonstrates how good these guys are at getting fresh produce to us. Highly recommended!!!

Really great value (cut and half head of foils with blow dry for $90) - my wife went in November this year. While the cut was great, and the girl doing the haircut was lovely and did everything asked for, it did take half an hour to get it all started. Overall, it was over a three hour haircut, but it could have been alot quicker given it was a fairly straightforward visit. That said, it wasn't pretentious and we'd happily go back to Lady B's!

This review is for Dominiques French Bakery, Ipswich QLD

Walking in the mall recently and I couldn't help but be drawn to Dominique's bakery. Really well presented and a stand out for the Ipswich CBD. The pastry selection is okay, but I simply opted for a sausage roll and pie (didn't have my sweet tooth on!). Quality was surprisingly good for both, being fresh and the pastry was just right, not overcooked on top, but well cooked at the base. Very good service.. So overall I highly recommend this place.

This review is for Moga Izakaya And Sushi, Milton QLD

I cannot believe it has taken me this long to review Moga, an outstanding restaurant in downtown Rosalie. The atmosphere is fantastic, there is the chorus of welcomes when you arrive and a nice farewell when you pay the bill and walk out. Options to sit down at the table and have a la carte or you can go a little more casual at the sushi train as food-turned-artwork passes by, and some of which turns devoured very quickly. Reasonable pricing and as mentioned, really good service. We've been three times now and the sushi is just too good to go past. Very family friendly also.

Cruisy place with simple food and good sangria and Mexican beer. The burritos and tacos are never a disappointment, chipotle pork generally being my filling of choice. The serving sizes aren't massive, but the food is very tasty and it is a family friendly atmosphere. The drinks add a little zest to the experience. I could sit there all afternoon to be honest.... which is something to be said for a takeaway joint.

You're always sceptical about door knockers, right?? Well a few weeks ago, a HomeFresh Organics knocker swung by and we decided to give it a go - we haven't regretted the decision and have been very happy with the produce provided on a weekly basis. It is just so easy - there are plenty of options and the cost is better than what you'd get at the Big Two supermarkets. Great seasonal range and excellent customer service, with produce delivered to your door. You can order fruit and veg of course, but also dairy and bread, and meat also. Highly recommended - give it a go, you've got nothing to lose.

This review is for Harry The Potter, Willawong QLD

Incredible range and quality of pots available at Harry the Potter - but the prices are high compared to the bigger retailers (maybe that is what pots have to cost these days to make it worthwhile!?!). It is quite easy to rack up a $200 or $300 amount with just a couple of regular sized pots. Service wasn't outstandingly helpful, but it was a hot day and there were a few people about. Not the easiest place to get into if you're coming from the wrong direction (Inala end), but once you are in, you will be amazed at what is available for purchase, if you're willing to part with the cash! Great to support small business though (especially if you're after something a little left of centre).

This review is for Plant Factory Outlet, Willawong QLD

Massive nursery with a great variety of beautiful plants available. Magnolias were our purchase, being reasonably priced (even compared to the markets). The kids just love running through the nursery (in particular the 'rainforest' parts) and the staff are always helpful with some great advice. Highly recommended if you are looking to build up your garden on a tight budget.

This review is for Centenary Landscaping Supplies, Darra QLD

While the service was outstanding and the range of products is impressive, we were a little disappointed with the soil that we ordered from Centenary Landscaping Supplies - subsequent tests have shown it to be highly alkaline, meaning nothing will grow in it unless it is treated... not even weeds like growing in it! The stones we purchased from here were fine, but certainly not the cheapest out there. We'll still go back, but only due to its locality.

This review is for Fresh From The Noosa Chocolate Factory, Brisbane QLD

Okay, so this is quite heavenly. Rustic, wooden crates along a big wall, full of the most decadent, chunky chocolates. Oversized licorice bullets (they are at least 0.50cal), chocolate covered freeze dried strawberries (quite incredible, should have bought more), semi-dried cherries, covered in you know what, macadamias in chocolate, dusted with cocoa... straight cocoa nibbles, Brisbane CBD honeycomb, irresistable brownies and drinks also.... I could keep on going on. The beauty of this place is you can get your paper bag, pick out what you want from each crate (as much or as little as you like) and smash it as you walk the CBD with hot chocolate in hand. Difficult to beat - great service also.
