Wow - venue has scrubbed up well after knowing it as Daveys for so many years! Great aesthetics and even better beer. Visited on Saturday night and the place was absolutely packed. My only criticism is that the design and materials have made for terrible acoustics, so having a convo was very hard; I think it would be impossible if they ended up playing music later in the night. If this was fixed it would be a perfect regular addition to the nightlife in the area.
A convenient location to Frankston Hoyts but can't recommend this restaurant for much else unfortunately. The menu on their website is not current - their dinner options are now mostly limited to parmas and burgers, unlike the bigger range they advertise. This would still be fine with me normally (it was a bit harder on some friends with eating restrictions who we had tried to cater for) but the quality and taste of my parma, chips & slaw was very poor. No-one on my table of 11 people enjoyed their meals. Service was also a bit haphazard - at the start we were asked by multiple servers about drinks within moments of one another, then later it became extremely difficult to flag someone down when everyone on the table clearly had empty glasses. Several drinks were also forgotten and had to be chased down; some of the cocktails ordered were disappointing/incorrectly made. We ended up leaving before dessert and finding somewhere more enjoyable!
Decent and cheap Asian-style food. The quality varies from time to time but it is mostly good food. The pan fried dumplings are a favourite!
If you are feeling tense or sore at the shops and need a quick, no-frills massage to unkink the knots, Siyangs is great. I always feel better after a quick neck or foot massage there. Just be prepared to bring cash, as that is all they accept.
A great little Japanese restaurant/takeout business tucked away in Harbour Plaza. Decor isn't great but it is definitely a place you go to for the food and not the dining experience. The bento boxes are excellent and very filling!
Easily some of the best authentic Japanese food in the area. We've been quite a few times and never had a bad meal. Do yourself a favour and get lots of dishes to share so you can try as much as possible. The salmon tataki especially is amazing!
A very decent and filling meal if you are looking to pop in for some takeaway on your lunchbreak. Be prepared to wait awhile though because they can get very busy!
Food and service can sometimes be hit and miss, with long waits (when not particularly busy) and some fairly average steaks for the price. It is convenient though with a good range of drinks if you want to pop in for a drink pre/post seeing a film, with Village Karingal just next door.
A great family restaurant with a nice selection of meals and enormous serving sizes. Service was good too. The outdoor area under the lights looked like a nice spot for a casual dinner - we will definitely try it in the warmer months.
We had heard excellent things about Shavan's from different people but must have hit them on a bad night, with two of our takeaway main meals containing very grisly meat. Entrees and rice were nice though so willing to give them the benefit of the doubt. Will try again.
