I enrolled with AABT after assessing (online and in person) an assortment of training providers throughout Sydney in late 2018 (I'm one of the January 2019 intake students).
AABT provides a broad range of equipment and expertise with their tutors and support team.
The equipment in particular ensures we have a solid understanding and experience of consulting and operating equipment such as assorted laser, IPL, dermal equipment along with common place items used by Beauty Therapists.
There is a very holistic approach for supporting students rather then simply have us complete the course content/assessments and send us on our way with a Diploma.
We have ongoing one-on-one catch-ups with our tutors and principal.
We transition from the classroom to clinic after 6 months where we have ongoing assessments and any additional support we want or require.
As a number of students have not been employed fulltime or in this industry we gain understanding of employer expectation, the level of professionalism required and the assorted paths our qualifications can take us on/lead us to.
Offering the Salon Management course provides a clearer understanding of what goes into running a business, my believe is that this will provide students with a stronger work ethic then simply getting paid to work.
In speaking with a number of other people that have completed or are training for their Diploma in Beauty Therapy they seem to have had lack lustre support and a number of hidden costs.
AABT was the ideal choice for me and I'd recommend others to enrol if they are seeking a high standard of education and support (especially school leavers)
