This review is for Punthill Apartments, Williamstown VIC

Beautiful clean and modern apartments located right in the heart of Williamstown. The rooms are small (or,at least, the one I was in was) but they are very well appointed and sensibly laid out. The managers there are also really really nice people who will bend over backwards to make sure their guests are well looked after, which just makes it an even more pleasant experience.

This review is for Boulevarde Motel, Wagga Wagga NSW

Pretty standard motel that doesn't offer anything out of the ordinary, but what it does offer is decent, clean accommodation for a reasonable price. It's in a good location too which is a plus. Gets damn cold in winter though, and the heating didn't quite cut it. Despite that, I would stay here again.

This review is for Riverland Bar & Cafe, Melbourne VIC

Excellent venue - there are few better in the city. I've never eaten here - mainly because its so damn expensive! Drinking here is already a strain on the finances, eating is therefore out of the question. The food I saw looked good however. Service is ok - far from the best I've ever had. Wait and bar staff seemed disinterested at best.
In summary, I would go here again for a beer, but there are plenty of cheaper places in the city I'd rather go to.

This review is for Indera Day Spa, Newport VIC

Now I'll admit straight up - I haven't had the pleasure of being pampered at Indera. My wife however has, and several times at that. She absolutely loves it - the girls there are thoroughly professional and totally lovely (now THAT I have experienced - Every now and then I go in and get my wife a voucher, and the girls there are great).
Facials, massages, waxings...these guys do it all and are extremely good at it. My wife has been to a HEAP of these day spas in your time and she rates this one up there with the best. An excellent addition to Newport.

This review is for Commercial Club, Albury NSW

Think slightly up market RSL club and you have the Commercial Club. Lots of pokies - too many of them actually. Its got many function rooms and cafes and restaurants and the food is quite good for what it is. Drinks are at club prices which is good. The décor is tacky but you'd expect that really. Its an ok place to visit, but I'd hesitate to spend too much time here.

This review is for Mr Benedict, Albury NSW

verified email - 25 Feb 2013

Last time I visited my hometown of Albury over Christmas I took the opportunity to visit Mr Benedict and was happy that I did. Only stopped in for a coffee and so didn't eat, but from what I saw the food looked good and the portion sizes looked decent as well. The coffee was great! Would certainly go there again next time I'm in town.

This review is for Breeze On Nelson, Williamstown VIC

By far and away one of the worst restaurants in Nelson Place. With that many choices available to you you'd be bonkers to consider coming here. The meals are large but the quality just isnt there, and more doesnt necessarily mean better! Disappointing is probably the right word for Breeze - it looks good, but in this instance the looks are deceiving. The service is ok, but not great. The restaurant itself is ok - clean, and with decor that is appropriate to the area and its Italian roots. Thats probably the best thing I can say about it. Better than La Porchetta, but only by a whisker (and La Porchetta probably makes better pizza!).

This review is for Solarino, Melbourne VIC

Decent Italian right in the heart of the city. It has both indoor and outdoor seating (on a nice day outdoor is best - where its situated there is no traffic other than foot traffic). The food is fairly routine - dont expect any ground breaking stuff here, nor any WOW moments either - the food is decent but its certainly not outstanding, though if antipasto is your thing you probably wont go disappointed, and their risotto is quite nice as well. I would go here again, but only if I couldnt think of anywhere else to go.

This review is for Delicious Delight, Melbourne VIC

Good little cafe that offers excellent all day breakfasts that are sensationally priced - I think the most expensive brekky there is $10, and thats with the lot! Dont expect over-generous portions but for what you pay its pretty good. Decor is slightly dated but the establishment is clean and the staff are friendly. Their burgers are pretty good too, and again on the cheapish side - $9 will get you one with the lot and there are plenty of varieties. They also do sandwiches and give you the choice of turkish bread, normal bread, or foccaccias (I can never spell that word right - sorry!). All up Delicious Delight is a great place to frequent if you are on a budget but still want good, tasty food.

Approximate cost: $10

Just got back from lunch here with my parents and little sister. Was pretty impressed! The portion sizes were excellent - I had one of the specials (something called Zaatar lamb racks - dont ask me what Zaatar is. I think its some kind of herb/spice mix) that was very reasonably priced ($17.50) and very seriously yummy! Also on the table was a dukka-crusted chicken breast, sirloin, and tempura battered fish and chips, and there were no complaints at all! Service was ok (waiter went MIA after we ordered the food, and didnt bring the drinks we asked for) but other than that it was pretty good. I would come back here in a heart beat!
