They were easy to deal with and gave us a good deal. We found the proprietors to be genuinely interested in their patrons and very friendly and helpful, providing advice on where to visit etc.
This motel was a bit more expensive than previous places we stayed, but overall it was good.
We phoned ahead and were given instructions on what to do when we arrived as it was going to be late. Unfortunately, when we arrived, we were unable to arouse anyone for a while and the telephone numbers listed outside were not correct. We eventually got a hold of someone and they let us in. We found the staff members to be friendly and helpful. They also have a full kitchen and lounge which you can use.

They were having a special when we arrived so we didn't need to pay the $7.50 entrance fee. They also gave us free chocolates when we arrived. We were shown a short video on the history of Cadbury and then allowed to taste the raw ingredients. The best bit was they had a shop with discounted products and they were heaps cheaper than normal. Bonus!
Approximate cost: $7.50
I though it was a bit expensive to get it, but it did include a 20 minute cruise which was good. The whole place is just awesome. A great tribute to the history of the place.

This is an awesome cheese factory with lots of different cheeses available to taste. We ate yummy pies here for lunch and they were really yummy! I also bought some camembert cheese and enjoyed it over the following days.
Very reasonable accommodation. They provided a clean double room with a separate private bathroom, all for $50 per night. Stayed a number of nights in total on our recent trip and will definitely stay again. All the staff were very friendly and helpful too.
Approximate cost: $50 per night
Very friendly service and great tasting , reasonably priced food. We ate there on a number of occasions on our recent trip to Tasmania, and there is a reason we kept going back! One small issue on our last visit was that we were told we had to pay for glasses of water, when we hadn't before. Otherwise a fantastic experience and will definitely be going back when we are next in Launceston.
Approximate cost: $20
They offer the best coffee I have tasted in the country. I cannot fault their service either, it was awesome! They also have a tavern, which I haven't tried, and a really good museum which is well worth a look. If you find yourself on the east coast of Tasmania, make sure you drop in.
We went on an advertised "2 for 1" night. Buy one main meal and get another one free. Our total bill came to $19, however we were advised upon paying the bill that they have a minimum of $13 per head and so had to purchase something to make it up to $26.
This was not made clear to us when we were ordering, and we particularly asked what we could order for the deal.
It just feels a bit like misleading advertising. Not such a great deal after all.
