Terrible service

We visited the restaurant with my family today. While clean, the restaurant looked tired and it looked like there was a broken door in the restaurant (which has been boarded up). Sadly there was no baby facilities in the toilet (despite there being a child menu for kids from 2 years onwards). While the food was delicious, the service was poor. The waitress that served us was inexperienced and rushed (even though we had told her to slow down and take her time). In her haste to clear the plates she dropped a dirty knife and fork on my 2year old son. Without much sincere acknowledgement of the incident or apology from the waitress or restaurant manager, we still paid the full bill (there was no offer from the restaurant to reduce the bill for any inconvenience). It was a terribly negative experience especially when we had travelled so far to have a family lunch. We felt rushed to eat and felt not wanted at the restaurant - a far cry from the “finest vineyard” it boasts to be. We will not be returning.

Beautiful and tranquil location. Service and food is always first class. The grain fed scotch fillet is perfect for meat lovers - it's cooked with respect, beautifully medium rare. Yum!

Great place to go for a nice weekend trip with a nice meal to celebrate a special occasion or just to have a good time (no excuse needed). The restaurant serves beautiful food (in taste, texture & presentation). The menu is highly seasonal, rotates often & uses local ingredients. The extends beyond the food menu to the winelist as well. Top off the lovely experience, with the lovely green surrounds and peaceful atmosphere and serenity of the service and you are in lost in a little piece of heaven.

Only gave the service a three because they are hard to catch open. When they are open the service is A1, the food and wine is also tops. It is a peaceful setting with tranquil views.

Approximate cost: $150

Gorgeous estate to sit and sip a glass of wine at the restaurant and watch the clouds roll over the mountains.
Yering station is a good one stop shop to sample the bounty of the Yarra Valley. A lot of the produce from the area is sold here as well as getting to taste the wines from the winery. There is no charge for wine tasting which is a huge plus because a lot of wineries now charge a small fee for tasting.

I would recommend Matt's Bar for great food and a nice view but they aren't open very long hours and you have to be there on specific days and times to catch them open. The on site restaurant serves fine dining food but is pricier.

Overall a nice stop to do some gourmet food shopping and to enjoy the view. We always stop by when we're in the area.

A lovely little winery to visit on a tour of the region, they have a great range of wines to choose from at the cellar door. The one thing you must try or buy is their sparkling whites, they are the nicest I've tasted in their price range

This is culinary experience! The food is of the highest standards and is presented beautifully. The restaurant overlooks the winery. It can be very noisy when busy. The grounds are beautiful and worth looking around.

Approximate cost: $35
