I've been taking my animals here for many years. Dr Ian Burns has seen a generation of my cats and other assorted pets go through his office.

This is located in a converted house, with a renovated office/waiting room which is spacious and clean. Making an appointment is just a simple phone call and they are open a lot of the week.

Just not Sunday. They offer all the usual services - desexing and general medical care, kitten adoption, dog grooming services, surgical intervention if needed, and many more. But the main thing is ... they care. My animals are my family and they are treated as such here. Their prescriptions come with the animal's name and my surname - sort of cute.
So the level of care is first class because they get to know you and your animals and ask after them. I had a terrible time with an older cat of mine, which due to an accident was made quadriplegic, and they assisted me with information about how to care for him at home. Same again - cat with snake bite - was immediately put on a warming pad, had anti-toxin given etc. They let me go in the back and see my injured animals in the hospital area so I'll know they are okay. Animals stay overnight and you can pick them up in the morning or, as I do if it's a surgery job, drop them off in morning on way to work and pick them up again in the afternoon. You can ring straight after the procedure and they'll tell you how your animal went if you are worried.
They also checked microchips for me on some other cats.

They are very professional and also very friendly.
I have taken guinea pigs, rabbits, budgies etc there and got great care and advice.
Parking is a little troublesome sometimes as it's on a main road, but if you park up the side street it's usually okay.
And the price I'm sure is less than other vets. Always feel like they should have charged me more.
They have a range of foods and flea treatments, and toys etc to be bought. The dog scale was a favourite with my son when he was younger as he liked to weigh himself.
The receptionists and assistants are all lovely and know us too.
Couldn't recommend a better place for great animal care.

Approximate cost: $Depends on service, but always found them reasonable.
