Among La Trobe's numerous coffee places, I do enjoy Writer's Block every now and then. They have a great selection of cakes and muffins to go along with your coffee / tea / hot chocolate. I think that most people have told me that this is their favourite place to grab coffee on campus, and it's mine as well. I wouldn't say, however, that it is far, far superior to every other place there.

Another claimant for the "best coffee on campus" claim. Well, they are pretty good but I wouldn't go quite that far. The hot chocolate was nice but at $3.50 the cups were rather small and it was a little bitter.

But there is a good range of breakfast and lunch items and in such a great location - just inside the entrance doors to the library. Great to nick in and usually there's a table free if you want something quick. Glass bottles of water freely available and the two baristas are great and friendly.

They are pretty popular so sometimes you have to wait for your order. All in all, a good cafe at La Trobe and well worth a visit.

Came to the uni to meet my wife and had lunch here. My wife enjoys good coffee and the range here is great. The slice and muffin was good too. Good place for coffee a chat and something sweet.
