We went for my husbands work Christmas party. There were about 20 of us. We ordered the kids steak for my son and it came back cooked medium! Who would serve their kid half raw steak. We sent it back and they redid it, but it was still pink ish.

My husband and I ordered steak as well for our mains. We asked for them well done. They came back red inside! We sent them back and asked for them well done again. They came back still red. We sent them back again! They came back still too pink for our liking but we just ate them anyway.

Someone else further down the table ordered steak and sent his back as it was too raw. They brought it back still too pink and so he just requested a different meal.

The waitresses were really lovely about it. But that is terrible. You think they'd spend some money on a decent chef after spending all that money on the interior and lovcation!

Approximate cost: $34.00 for steak

We've been here 2 times in the past 3 months--once for my wife's birthday and once when my parents were in town. For my wife's birthday, we went during the week and took advantage of their 2 entrees for a discounted price. My wife's first choice was unfortunately just taken off the special menu, so had to take another choice. For her entree, she had scallops which unfortunately were actually raw. The second time we went was much better in terms of quality. However, it took quite some time for the mains to arrive. When the food did arrive, all loved it, but the time it took was a bit too much--it wasn't very busy.

Approximate cost: $32

We had a great first experience with amazing food with views and the sunset to compliment. Great wine and a lovely Cheese Platter. Mouth Watering desserts what more could you ask for.

Approximate cost: $15-30

variety of food,

good location

be wary of parking fines on the foreshore, close to a playground and good views of the beach and foreshore.

interesting entrees and a fine variety of mains,

the desserts are of course to die for and even do a good breakfast menu on weekends etc.

A fantastic meal and great service. The waitress was very helpful in organising an entree for my wife as they had run out of a couple and the only ones left were seafood that my wife doesn't eat. The food was delicious and the servings very generous. A great night out

We decided to try windows on the bay on a Sunday afternoon. Very nice place clean and great view. Staff were great no problem there. Ordered some drinks then preceded to go through the menu.
After looking through the menu we decided what we would like to order. The waiter returned to take our order. Waiter informed us that they had run out of alot of things. no pizza's, no chicken. If you like seafood you would be fine.

To our shock horror and embarrassment we did order a meal because we are not seafood eating people. The waiter apologized and was little embarrassed himself.

We asked the waiter could we have the bill for the drinks. Received the bill (Highly priced). Left the money and walked out. Would not go their again, how do you run a restaurant with less than 1/4 of your menu?

Approximate cost: $36.00

I love a restaurant with good service, definitely in top 10 territory here. The waiter was one of those special kind who could, while facing the other way on the other side of a mood lit room, tell precisely which piece of cutlery you dropped by the pitch of the tune it made as it bounced off the floor and would appear silently by your table with the correct replacement well before you even considered summoning him for precisely this reason. The menu and wine list was fairly basic for the caliber of reputation this joint carries, not that many people want a good Chianti to go with their seafood paella but just the same, a few exciting items wouldn't go astray. They have combo meal deal to offset the price during the week, so pony up and get the oysters for entree and the morton bay bugs for main, both quite good dishes. The beach is great for a romantic walk after; it'll help sober you to face your kids at 6 the next morning.

Approximate cost: $35

Windows is a really nice place to eat. I went here for a birthday dinner and the service was outstanding (the waiter even moved us to another table after I spilt a drink all over ours!), really nice wines and beautiful food. It is not cheap and I'd really only go there on a special occasion, but definitely worth it. I went at night, but during the day there is a great view of the water.
