Best pho ever!!!
All meals have exceeded my expectations and the staff are very friendly.
Would highly recommend this one to everyone.

First and last time eating at this place ordered three dishes and all with no flavors the worst was the pho which tasted like smelly socks had to throw out.Waist of money we had to cook up some food to eat as we could not eat windows food.

I first stumbled across the Window cafe the day after they opened with my two young kids and was pleasantly surprised. The staff were kid friendly and the service was quite fast (when you have young kids you would appreciate this)

Having lived down the road for many years, Borrack square wasn't exactly the first place that would come to mind for something healthy unless you were going to Safeway to get ingredients for home cooking.

Being a Cafe, rather than a restaurant, the Window Cafe offered a a fairly decent menu with a mix of favourite Chinese and Vietnamese meals, however I would say predominately more Vietnamese.

The interior was modern, very clean and comfortable (both times)

Being of Vietnamese background myself, I found the food to be decently priced (all the main meals were around $8.90), the servings were generous and was pretty true to the Vietnamese kitchen.

I recently returned with my boy friend at around lunch time during the week and was pleasantly surprised that they remembered me and asked about my kids although they seemed to be fairly busy. The service was still friendly, prompt and the food was consistent to when they first opened (which was months ago). It's a pity I'm not a local girl anymore, but definitely will go back if i'm ever close by, hungry and want a good feed :)

Approximate cost: $8.90

There's a new food shop in Borrack Square but trouble is, there's already two catering for this market. Granted they have both Vietnamese and Chinese cuisine, but three in one spot is probably too much.

They are a bright little shop on the corner of the laneway which leads to the post office. There are tables inside for comfortable eating and some outside on the square.

Not a huge range in the menu - springrolls and ricepaper rolls in entrees, soups, Pho - Vietnamese rice noodles, rice dishes with steamed rice - chicken, lemongrass, curry and some fried noodle dishes.

We had the special combination fried rice which was rather lacking in vegetables and had far too many prawns for just a general rice dish. And the Char Kway Teow which is a fried rice noodle dish, but this was rather limp, lacking in vegetables and taste, although did have some nice chicken in it.

Most dishes are under $9.00. The two gentleman were friendly and obliging and they are just starting off here but I don't know if I'd be back in a hurry. I might just to try something else.

They also had drinks, sweet snacks and biscuits and other quick cafe fare.

Approximate cost: $9.00
