Business was unscrupulous with their pricing structure. While they mentioned that my dog would be washed during her stay at the kennel, they did not mention that this service would cost an additional $15.

Nor was i sent a receipt for this additional cost. I only discovered that i'd been charged extra when i looked at my bankcard statement.

Make sure you never take your dog here!! Please don't do it, our dogs nearly we're lost!

Our dogs had to be taken away from there because they could just push under through the fence of the 'Pet Suite' which was leading to another dogs suite (who the staff member told us were aggressive). The staff member proceeded to put a dirty towel there when we asked to block it off. Dogs can move towels. Especially a 7-month old playful puppy who we had very specifically warned the Kennels about beforehand, to which they said there is no safety risk.

I was suspicious when they wouldn't let us walk the dogs down to their 'luxury mud filled suite', we insisted and we saved our dogs lives when we did.

We paid over $1000 for 7 days and they wouldn't give a cent back after we removed the dogs after 3 hours due to concerns for their safety.

Now we are off to VCAT to make sure these 'people' give us our money back. We have photographic evidence of how bad these facilities are (which we struggled to be able to get as there is none on the internet for obvious reasons and the staff members wouldn't let us near the suites again either.)

We don't want anyone to have to be as worried as we were.

We left our two dogs there for 2 weeks and it was their first time away from us, however we could see when we picked them up that they had been well cared for - and you could see they loved the staff. I have seen the actual kennels the dogs sleep in and although you always wish for something better, other kennels I have looked at were much the same, some being like the Pound. The staff at Wellington Park at least spend time with the pets so they don't fret as much. I would definitely feel comfortable leaving my dogs there when we have our next holiday.

Thought I would update WOMO reviews on the service that this kennel provides. They lost my dog and the manager was nothing but rude. Evaded all my phone calls, emails and tried not to refund the money for my stay.

What a joke. If you truly love your pet go somewhere with staff that will look after your furry loved one.

I always take my dog Charlie to Wellington Park (if i can get in) as he comes home happy and tired. He also seems happy to arrive there each time which i think is a pretty good sign he likes it.

We've taken our two dogs to a few kennels in the area, but always come back to Wellington Park. They're more expensive than the others, but worth it for the peace of mind. We've had the 5-star deluxe for our dogs (because they're very spoiled at home) and also the cheaper deals, and no complaints about either. Living inner-city their pick-up and drop-off service is also very handy and (based on the traffic) generally right on time. They also give you a reminder call the day before to advise what time they'll be dropping the dogs off.

I have had my dogs stay here on a few occasions, though they also have a cattery also. They are a little more expensive than other boarding kennels but they do provide a higher level of service and really care for your pet. They even offer air conditioned rooms with tv's for the very spoilt pets!

They looked after my dog about four times over a few years, for a couple of days up to a week at a time, when we went away on holidays. They took great care of her and seemed to get quite attached to her while she was there. She seemed to enjoy being there more than at home!
