The restaurant was very nice and fancy with a good amount of tables, meals were very nice and at good reasonable prices plus a good selection of sides, staff were ok and service was satisfactory, might go again next time I'm in Strathalbyn

Really like the schnitzel here.

We stayed at friends on the weekend and went out for tea for a birthday. We had a nice meal. We only eat schnitzel when we go to pubs. The gravy was nice and the salad and veg bar had great choices. We will be back. The service was quite good.

Whilst I am not raving I would definitely recommend the food in this hotel. The meals served at either lunch or dinner in the pleasant restaurant were consistent and varied enough to cater to most tastes. There is a reasonable wine list as well. The salad bar was most welcome with a VERY satisfactory cold and hot section. Service was quick and cheerful at both delivery and removal. A nice country feel.

Upon entering the staff members serving at the bar greet you with a friendly hello. When you walk thru the area is very inviting and in winter the log fire is on. You line up to be seated but we have only waited a minute or so before being greeted and then seated. The restuarant has three sections and the middle section has a fish pond with running water down the window - very inviting and relaxing. Further on is a more closed in area - quite a romantic are and the other section (where you line up to be seated) is on the second level. All staff members are very polite and courteous and will go out of their way to help - great children's environment as they have toys for them to play with. The food is also very good and the servings are quite large to some other pubs we have been too. Keep up the great work.

Approximate cost: $14.00
