Surprisingly for a small town, there are quite a lot of take-away food options in Woodend. Top Shop take-away have the ambiance of the country town general store combined with a fast food joint.

We enjoyed some fish and chips - really nicely cooked and good size portions and plenty of drink options. There were a few other customers in there too but we were served with a smile and some friendly welcoming words.

There are tables outside on the street to eat which would be nice, but we decided to take our feast down the road to the great playground reserve.

I'd certainly come here again - and then I'd also have the chance to sample some of the other menu choices, not to mention the other shops here.
