Service without a smile-

When I went to the chocolate lounge yesterday I was expecting a nice cafe experience as the cafe itself looked quite elite and the atmosphere was relaxed. Sad to say from the moment I walked in I experienced quite the opposite.

I stood there at the counter as the staff member gave the barista a list of orders and excitedly looked at the beverage menu. When the staff member came back to the counter she just looked and stared, no smile, no hello and no asking me what I wanted.

I said hello and asked the staff member how she was today but received no reply so I promptly made my order, I was not asked if I wanted anything else, if I wanted a mug or anything further!! I then put 50c into the tip jar because I like giving tips, not a smile, not a thank you, just a blank stare..

I took my number and went and sat at my table.

My coffee was delivered in a good amount of time but once again no chit chat, no smiles, no warm and fuzzies..

I started to drink my coffee and after a few sips I started to feel ill, I thought it was just me and continued to drink.. I had a hot chocolate there a couple of months ago and I thought it must of been that the chocolate was too rich but as I continued to drink my coffee I realized that it was the milk making me feel funny..

So in conclusion I won't be returning as their service is as stale as their milk :-(

This is a nice place for a cuppa and also for the waffles topped with strawberries & cream/ice cream. Price is ok. Food is ok.
Ambiance is good. It's located at the corner lot opposite Suzanne Grae and beside Smiggles shop. (not too far from the food court)

Approximate cost: $8.00

This is one of my favourite treats - a hot chocolate in a mug on a warmer at Theobroma.
Soy milk is available and the dark chocolate is dairy free.
The hot chocolate is always excellent quality - full of real chocolate, thick and creamy with a light froth on top.
Water is available to pour for yourself at the counter.

Decor is nice and seating is comfy.
