We only got time to do the night viewing so perhaps it is better during the day time. We missed out on some of the coupon deals so paid full price. It's half the price of the Melbourne wheel so we though we'd do this one instead. The kids were a bit bored but i think that was more because they couldn't see much. Having been on the London Eye yes that's better but the buildings you can see from that one you can't compare to a new city like Brisbane. Staff seemed very bored of their jobs. Definitely one for the international tourists
this is definitely only for tourist or ppl that likes all the history and all.. get on the wheel for 4 rounds, nothing much to do but see the wheel and then there is a radio on the information of the surrounding. however 1 staff was particularly rude to my friend. when we went to look at the pictures, my friend wanted to take a picture of one, then the staff very rudely told her she can't and wanted to call security if my friend didn't let the staff checked her phone.. very disappointed..
Have to agree with you there. We never needed it in the first place.
My husband was astounded at the similarity of it's placing on the river and everything to copy London. But at £19 (that's AUS$40? or so) at least it's cheaper.
Totally agree!
was a great view of the city and a little scary(don't like heights) not bad value, could have gone a round few more times only 3 loops.
in general good experience
Approximate cost: $15
same
this ride runs rings around the big ferris wheel at the echa and well for the price of 15 dollars the views are spectacular and well me and my partner got a discount from the green cabs so it only cost us $15 for the two of us and when we can we will be back again and again
Approximate cost: $15
This is something I have been wanting to do for ages, pretty well since it went it, but the $15 per person cost to go on a 12 minute ride pretty well prevented me every convincing my height-impaired husband from getting on there. The cost was just too good an excuse for him.
Recently I did get the opportunity to go on it with a friend (not petrified of heights) who had a buy one get one free discount ticket. We went during the day, on the weekend. On the happy, positive side we got the carriage to ourselves because it was quiet, which was lovely. You definitely wouldn't want more than about 6 people in there though, they aren't huge capsules.
The staff were generally friendly and easy going. Not overly solicitous but not rude at all.
The view is lovely, we took some happy snaps and enjoyed that element. It does go faster than I thought though, if you want pictures you need to be ready cause you lose the good shot quickly.
There is information playing to tell you where to look to see various things that I guess was kind of interesting too.
Overall, I liked the experience, I am glad I did it, but I won't be hurrying back to do it any time soon (unless I am with tourists, who I think really would enjoy it) and definitely not without a huge discount. I think $15 for a 12 minute ride is a bit stupid, there is a reason they aren't ever that busy.
Approximate cost: $15
My children have been wanting to go on this ever since we moved to Qld. The price, of course, has prevented us from doing so. Do you know where your friend got her two for one ticket from?
As far as I know from the Entertainment Book :) Hope that helps! If you don't have one, best bet is to find a friend who won't be using their voucher and pinch it - we always swapped ours around so everyone got what they wanted!
Hope you find some vouchers and enjoy!
