The Royal Hotel is not just a pub/hotel but has a superb restaurant upstairs called the Botanical. After renovations this modern looking eatery is very welcoming. It is lovely and cool sitting on the balcony and has a small view of the City. I found that $18 for a very small salad was disappointing while those accompanying me had huge plates of meat, fish and chips for only a few dollars more. However, the food was good and worth the visit and well worth a return visit. For a Monday evening it was very busy and the service was pretty fast considering.

I went here for lunch with some of m y friends. I loved my pulled pork with coleaw and my friends enjoyed their beef burger. The fries are to die for.
I really like the garden theme throughout the restaurant. The gals were nice and friendly and meal was cheap around $15-$20 each.
