The burgers are best out of the menu.
But did this close down? or renovating; we went up and it wasn't there.

Food Poisoning
A group of us had dinner at Groove Train @ Doncaster on 18.12.16.

I am writing to complain that we were served smelly and off mussels, I ate one and thought it tasted a bit funny.
We informed 2 staff members and they did not care or do anything to fix the problem PLUS we still had to pay for the dish.
At 1.30am I started having a headache and sore stomach.
2am Shivering in bed.
2.45am I just threw up and still shivering in bed.

Worst dining experience in my life.

If you fancy a food poisoning experience...Groove Train Doncaster is the place to go!!!

I used to go here a lot especially with my family and best friend until I ordered a chicken risotto once for the first time which tasted nothing like it should have and left a bad taste in my mouth!

Had lunch with a friend in this restaurant as we were looking for something away from the food court and neither of us had been to the Groove Train before so we thought we'd give it a go. The menu is your typical aussie fare though a bit more expensive as previously mentioned. The restaurant itself it quite stylish and the views of course are fantastic- we managed to get a good table with a clear view of the large windows that overlook the City in the distance. The staff were quite slow despite it not being super busy, slow to seat us and slow to take our orders and the food also took forever to come but when it came it was nice enough, maybe not worth the price but that is my opinion. It was a average experience, nothing to write home about.

Not the groove train i would recommend as it's so busy, noisy, and i find the staff only pay attention to you if you are a table of young good looking men. The fod is overpriced in my opinion for what you get, They do make a really good cosmopolitian!

We (6 of us)went here on a Friday night. It was sooooo busy. We did call earlier in week to make a booking but the don't take bookings Friday & Saturday nights. However when we first got there to get a table she asked if we had a booking - mmmmm what the? Anyway waited in bar for table tried to get a drink but they were to busy to serve us. Ordered our meals I think they were cheap and reasonable size. So overall was a good place to dine close to cinemas which is why we went here. Serviced lacked a bit but they were very busy.

Food is expensive but there are good views of the city if you are sitting near the window as this restarant is located on top floor of westfield doncaster. I like the chicken burger as the burge is turkish bread but is expensive at $18.90

I love the atmosphere of this restaurant. You wouldn't even know you are attached to a shopping centre. I really like the food. Lots of variety - sometimes too much! My favorite is the pizzas. The service is slow at times and the prices are so so.

Approximate cost: $25

The Groove Train has a great atmosphere, and is very funky. The prices are a little higher than the average for what you get, but the standard of food is generally good. The service is sometimes good, sometimes average (but, never great nor awful). Reliable and consistent are words to describe such a venue.

Approximate cost: $25.00

The Groove Train offers a great range of meals and snacks at reasonable prices. The serves are generous in size and the orders filled within a reasonable time. Service is good and efficient. We ordered a range of menu items including pizza, pasta dishes, club sandwich and chicken parma.

The pizza was topped with a good amount of topping but not overloaded so that the crust was still reasonably crispy. The pasta was a good size for a single person, however we shared it so we could all try the dishes we ordered. The club sandwich is good with generous amounts of filling - not some skimpy piece of chicken but I think almost the whole fillet sliced and the parma was also a good size and good tasting with crispy chips.

Overall a great place to grab a bite when you're after a selection of dishes.

Approximate cost: $16
