The Grand has a standard pub fare of standard quality. Nothing to rave about. That is if you are brave enough to get through the door. I suggest not going there on a weekend due to the violence, during the week it isn't as bad.

Crap Bistro - will not eat there again. Waited 50 minutes for a simple medium-cooked Steak, with Chips, on a Wednesday night. The "salad" (for want of a better word) was a bit of lettuce. I suppose, though, What can you expect for $10?

The stupid female barstaff also can't add up simple arithmetic. A beer I bought cost $5.80. I gave her a $10 note. Instead of giving me $4.20, she gave me back 20 cents. I said "No, I gave you a $10 note". So, she gets a calculator out, to add up how much change she needs to give me! So STUPID!

Approximate cost: $10

My partner and I received a dinner invitation to the grand hotel from friends last week. We were glad to catch up with friends but less than eager to go to the venue due to the bad reputation (violence). We were pleasantly surprised. The entire hotel has been renovated and all the "riff raff" shown the door. The meals were brilliant (the 2nd best steak I've even eaten) and well priced and the live entertainment was amazing. We will definitely go there again.

Approximate cost: $20 - $35

Actually, the riff-raff were still there when I visited last night. They were outside, on the porch, drinking.

You can't stop the riff-raff anyway. Wyong CBD is full of them, as is Gosford CBD.
