I took my grandchildren when they came to stay with me for holidays, they enjoyed the toboggan rides, but they saved the best for last the water slides. They didn't want to leave, they had the best time.

I always look forward to the first sighting of the big banana on a road trip. Remembering it how it was "back in the day", through my child eyes, it is really hard to understand what it has become today.

Ice skating? and other tourism activities that really do not relate to the area? What is the world coming to!...

I'll close my eyes and remember when the Big Banana meant BANANAs! Rides on the back of the plantation trucks, choosing the best bunch, the smell of the trees and the victorious feeling of arriving home with a magnificent hand of fresh bananas that would last for ages, make great banana fritters and give you something to barter with the "worm lady" so you could go fishing.

large complex on hiway and has plenty of parking. great lollie shop where they make real candy onsite. seems to be in a state of disrepair as many rides/walks closed. monorail no longer works and banana tours have stopped most of the time. however is good to have ice skating ring and small water park for the kids is great in summer. tobogin ride is one of the few original rides still running. great aussie icon and good for small kids. worth a look as entry is free.

Approximate cost: $entry is free

This is a really great place for everyone, no matter the age. I've been here heaps of times and always run out of time before we run out of things to do!
Lots of stuff to learn about and the biggest gift shop full of cool presents to take home!
Doesn't matter how many times your been, there's always something new (good excuse to drop in everytime you travel through Coffs!)

besides ice skating i guess the gift shop is about the only thing worth talking about. but i do hope the place gets some more investment before it totally rots away. is good employer for the region but seems to have hard time surviving.

I found the waitresses here and the workers here to be really polite and lovely. There is a cafe, fun slide area and gift shop full of every type of souveneir you could want! I bought my youngest a banana pencil sharpener because she needed one for school anyhow and it was cute! I also bought them banana water pistols as we were on holidays and I thought it would be fun since we were camping.

The cafe part is clean and inviting. We had some delicious banana splitz which tasted divine and they were a good price considering this is a massive tourist destination when visiting Coffs Harbour.

I'd highly recommend this place. Be prepared for it to be busy around the lunch hour though! Maybe get here a bit earlier or eat a bit later for lunch to avoid the busy time.

If you have kids you could spend hours here on the slides and rides. We didn't get to do that this time around but we hope to do it next time. There is also a photo opportunity by standing out the front of the huge big banana sculpture. Cute memories!!

I wonder why my review isn't showing on my account. Maybe it's just a slow internet thing or something. It's showing here so I'll check back later.

Not a bad place to visit. Our Sundae we ordered from the cafe was okay and wasn't real banana ice cream as we thought. You have to pay to see movies and participate in activities etc here. It was expensive and we couldn't afford to do it while we were visiting the Big Banana.

Approximate cost: $16.00

The big banana has a great range of attractions and growing, with the only ice rink in coffs harbour, toboggans, water slides. A little bit on the expensive side but much more affordable then going to one of the bigger theme parks in QLD I think its well worth the money, great for birthday party's or just family outings.

Yeh I agree that it's much cheaper than the big QLD attractions and yet just so much fun to be had here. So it's quite good value! I liked it too!
