We ordered take away from here and went and collected it ourselves. We found the prices to be reasonable and the service was good, but we didn't eat in.

Yum Cha is very good and so much variety. Service isn't the best there and especially since weekends are so busy. They have an 11am or 1pm session on weekends so best to book.

Tai pan has great Yum Cha, probably the best in the immediate are and the food in general is of high quality. The staff can seem rude and when busy..you can be ignored, but worthwhile going for the food.

The best yum cha restaurant in doncaster area. Hot dim sum with fantastic variety.
The bad, the usual - crowded, noisy, hard to find parking, service is a bit slack when they are busy

Tai Pan's in my top three Chinese restaurants outside of Chinatown! I like to go off-peak, when it's not so busy. Classy surroundings and a superb menu with all the trimmings. The service is excellent, and they do take-away as well! Prices are not over the top - I've paid more elsewhere!

I agree with this comment completely, yum cha food is among the best I've ever had, mid-week you'll always get a table, but book for weekends, that's because it's so good everyone wants to go! Staff always friendly, great variety of quality food. Definitely a must if you love yum cha.

The quality of food is very good, especially for yum cha. Make sure you make a booking on the weekends. The variety is also very good. It's one of the better ones in the suburbs.

this place is quite alright with its yum cha daily, like to go with a few friends or family to get the most out of it. it is quite busy and there is always someone around to serve you.

Can't bet Tai Pan for yum cha - one of the very best, and extremely well priced - we paid about $20 per head for 6 people and had plenty of food to boot! It's a busy place, but there is also quite room and not over crowed.

Approximate cost: $20 p/h

This restaurant has been around for many years and is still very popular. I only go for the yum cha. The variety is extensive and you can be adventurous or stick with traditional dishes. Quality of the dishes is good. Typical Chinese restaurant atmosphere with the noise level quite high. Family friendly, quick service.

Tai Pan would be one of the best for yum cha in the Doncaster East area, they have a big variety of dishes available and quality is always good. It is slightly more expensive compared to some other places but you do get what you paid for, I have never experienced anything that is not fresh for the years that I have dined there. Dinner menu is not that exceptional though, yum cha is highly recommended! Best to make a booking, especially on weekends since its always packed!
