Authentic Cantonese Yumcha, good service (which is rare for Chinese restaurants. Long-standing Chinese eatery with yum cha and banquet menus, plus live seafood selected from a tank. Always a good place for Yum Cha. Make sure to book first.

I love the yum cha here, especially the pork dumplings and homemade dim sims . It is really noisy and chaotic during yum cha sessions though. Must make a booking or you won't get a table as it gets extremely busy

Tai Pan is my favourite restaurant for yum cha. A great variety of flavours and it is worth saving space for their mango cheesecake.
The restaurant is huge and noisy but for me that just adds to the fun of the occasion.

Meals at yum cha are fantastic and overall quality is good. Dinner meals are reasonably priced and the cuisine is simply delicious with a wide array if choices.

One of the best yum cha places in Melbourne. Always fresh ingredients, lots of variety to choose from and reasonably priced for yum cha. It is however too noisy and crowded and service is lacking, as you would expect from a ultra busy restaurant. However if great food, good value and authentic yum cha is what you want, you can't go pass this place.

I used to eat here a lot but hadn't been for a while. Went there for a friend's birthday recently and was very impressed. Food was amazing (particularly the Peking Duck), and the service was excellent. We hadn't organised a cake but they brought out a little cup cake with sparklers without our even asking. Excellent!!!

According to some people this place has the best yum cha in melbourne. But based on personal experience I do not think so. I must say the foods were pretty good, above average but it was not super extraordinary that I would drive all the way from city just to have the yum cha at this place. It's always very difficult to make bookings for weekend and the place is always very noisy. The prices are quite high too compared to other yum cha places.

Service is terrible. It is difficult to obtain waitstaff attention, and when one finally succeeds, they are unresponsive and less than friendly.
The food is passable, but prices above average.

We went here for the first time last night after reading these reviews. The food wasnt bad but the service was terrible and the surrounding were unappealing. We walked up the stairs passed the lower section that looked like a laundry with table cloths all over the place. My kids were really skeptical before we ordered. Not sure if i would go back again.

yum chai is great, probably one of the best in the area if you don't want a long drive, although a little more pricey than the others. it's very busy on the weekend so it can get quite noisy and crowded.
