Perfect. Amazing food and lots of delicious gluten free options on the menu. Great atmosphere and better prices. Perfect restaurant.
The food is a really good quality, portion sizes are also good. the service has always been friendly and efficient. we originally planned to try another restaurant in the area but it was closed so we tried sun luk & subsequently have been back many times!
We dined there again recently and found it has maintained its consistently high standards The meals are always a high quality and the staff are generally efficient and certainly courteous. They are great for take aways too. Rainbow Beef is a favourite, but vegetarian dishes are always tasty too.

We decided to try Sun Luk after reading all the great review online about it. The food and atmosphere were great. It was definately great value for money. The meal servings were also a good size not too big as some places give you. However the service on the Saturday night was very poor. We booked a table which was ready for us when we arrived but it took 20mins for them to take our order and then another 20min for the entree, another 15 min for the main and so on. In total we were there for about 2 hours. Needless to say that we were lucky we didn't book tickets for the movies afterwards. We also witnessed other customers complaining. On the upside the desserts looked and tasted spectacular, almost making up for the slow/bad service.

It's hard to work with waitress's who walk out of the kitchen. Takes 5 steps into the room and turn around and walk back into the kitchen for no reason..
Or even they give you the menu and f**k off hoping I would see that there are new customers just appeared out of no where expect me to realise that they haven't been served, while they hide away being too scared of you. ^^
I work here, I see this place having so much potential. But the damn people are just too lazy to do a thing about it *WiNks*
Sun Luk is a fantastic little find! After reviewing and reading some of the other WOMOW reviews we thought we would give it a god! and you know what?? It was great! Food was yum and the staff friendly! Try it!
We always enjoy fantastic meals here - definitely the best chinese food I have ever had. The dishes are unique, beautifully presented and the servings generous. And don't miss the deserts ........ to die for!! Nothing ordinary here.

On the contray, is the food you eating really chinese? because it looks westernised to me. If I showed my parents this they will say wtf is this?
Always an outstanding place to eat with great staff and lots of "not your average Chinese" meals. Save room for the desserts which are always fresh and different (not a lychee in sight unless you ask). Love the crispy calamari entree.

The best Modern Chinese food in Melbourne
Sun Luk is a small suburban Chinese restaurant that has really raised the bar. We don't eat a lot of chinese food these days because it's too sweet and thai is generally better, but whenever we get an opportunity to go to Sun Luk we jump at it. They use high-quality ingredients includng Wagyu beef and their modern interpretation of traditional dishes such as Crispy Rainbow beef are fantastic.
