Redback Tree Services came out to our house today and chopped down a large tree in a very tricky spot. The tree was taller than our two storey house and in a tight location, with new render and alucabond underneath the branches. They did an amazing job.

The guys cut all the branches into small pieces that could be individually moved by the guy up the tree to a spot where they could be safely dropped to the ground. It was done extremely carefully and none of the render or alucabond was marked. Very skilled workmanship and impressive to watch.

I'd highly recommend Redback (we have used them once before about a year ago, and they were good as well).

The guys came and installed an antenna point for us. I was very particular as I didn't want any ducting to be used inside.

They got it done quickly and neatly and we are now enjoying our new lounge room.

Very happy and would definitely use them again.

My 4 year old son and I had our hair cut here for the first time yesterday and I was very impressed. Lovely salon and Julianne was very friendly and did a great job on my hair and my son's. Will be back!

I found Michael on Womo and after getting quotes from him and a few other renderers, I selected Michael to render our two story house. We had some existing render which was an old style (rough, with scratches) and we wanted a modern, smooth, sharp look. The finished product was outstanding - and I'm very fussy :)

Michael and his guys were neat and tidy, and didn't cause a fuss on-site. As with any renovation there were some tricky aspects and Michael approached this with a can do attitude.

I'd highly recommend Michael if you are looking for a good job. We rendered the the front and back only, but it looks so good, we will get him back to do the rest of the house.

Gates Plus is a business that makes custom metal gates and fence panels. I found them online when we needed 2 gates and a fence panel fabricated and powder coated. Gary and his team helped us with ideas on how to design the gates and then took our measurements and made the gates for us. The price was very reasonable but what really prompted me to write this review was to let other people know how impressed I was with the way that Gary looked after us. You see, I made a mistake on a measurement of the width of one gate (it was against a curved wall, so it was tricky), but Gary came out and re-checked it and then re-made this gate and delivered it all at no extra charge!

$1000 got us fence posts, lock, handles etc. Excellent value and they look great.

Caleb landscaped our backyard in Brighton and did a great job. He built a 26m retaining wall, wooden feature screens and large bench seats cantilevered off the wall. He also made us an in-ground trampoline, which has been very popular with our kids and any kids that come over. He did some great paving too using 1m x 1m pavers. Using these pavers (and skill with a grinder!) he made two boxes which serve as seats. They are pavers on all sides, with neatly mitred joints and we often get comments from friends as to how great they look.

I can highly recommend Caleb if you are looking for a good landscaper. Due to the nature of our project (large and unsure of the exact scope) he worked on an hourly rate, but we always found him to be very hard working, efficient and very tidy. His attention to detail and passion for his work is second to none.

The eye bolt connecting our tilt up garage door spring broke (with a very loud bang!) and rather than try and replace the bolt myself I thought I'd get a professional out to replace the bolt and service the door. Our door has been playing up for years and I have not been able to make it work smoothly. (It would scrape on one side of the garage when it opened.)

I called Stuart on Saturday afternoon and he came out on Monday morning. He checked over the door and told me that the springs were fine, however some other bolts were worn and needed replacing. The w hooks went missing too when the springs let go. He replaced all these parts, rebalanced the door, checked the functioning of the motor and $200 later (inc callout and all parts) we have a nice smooth garage door! Definitely recommend.

We have two properties in inner city Melbourne and Bryan Baker have done an excellent job managing them. We have used them for over 5 years. Previously we were with another agent, but we found that we weren't getting the attention we needed. I liked the idea of using a company that was just focused on property management, rather than one that was primarily a sales organisation with rental tacked on. Bryan and Anne are very experienced, have good contacts to get repairs done and communication has always been very efficient.
These guys are not as 'salesy' as other agents, but I think that this actually works in your favour (as a landlord). At the end of the day, we just want to have good tenants and ensure that rents are paid in a timely manner and that reasonable tenant requests are met. I think that their honesty and professionalism is recognised and appreciated by tenants too.
We are very happy to recommend them (several of our friends now rent their properties through Bryan Baker too).

We moved our business's 1300 number over from another provider to Telecube and have been very happy with the service and the system. Telecube's rates are much cheaper than we were previously paying, plus we can change the answering location instantly online, without incurring any fees. We also can specify call overflow, so if the primary answering location doesn't pickup after a user defined number of seconds, then the call will be diverted to another number. It can even be diverted to a 3rd number too, although we haven't used this.
The other thing I like is that we can either have the caller id of the customer showing up on our phone, or we can manually set a caller id for each 1300 number. Manually setting the number works well for us as we have several 1300 numbers being answered in the one location, so we can see which number the customer dialled.
I believe that telecube also offer basic PABX services, but I haven't used these at all.

Five of us visited on a Wednesday night. We had made a booking and there was only one other table occupied at 7:45pm. Despite this, we were put right next to to doorway, which was quite cold. One of our tables was a little wobbly and it took 2 requests to get someone to attend to it (placing napkins underneath).
We all ordered the banquet ($40 pp), plus some scallops. After a long wait the dishes started coming out in quick succession. Some of the dishes were ok (dips, saganaki), but most were bland and boring (lamb on skewers and meatballs especially). They were all very small (note that this is a tapas style place). I kept thinking that I should save some room as normally you get plenty of food at a place like this, so I was very surprised when the waiter asked if we wanted coffee, as I was thinking we were only half way through the meal.

So for $40, I don't feel that it was good value for quality & amount of food or service.
