I stayed here for 5 nights a few months back and it lived up to my expectations. We paid $100 a night which was very reasonable. It was a little walk (5-10mins?) from the main streets of Cairns but a stroll in the fresh air is great too. The rooms were very clean and all staff helpful. It was raining most of the time we were there (remind me not to go in their wet season again lol) and they had plenty of umbrellas to borrow which was really helpful. The pool is really lovely - a big lagoon style.

After spending over a week traveling around, we finished our holiday at Rydges Tradewinds - and what a lovely surprise to find we had a suite rather than a basic hotel room.
Reception staff were friendly and efficient, although check-in lacked a little. The room was huge, clean, comfortable and quiet.
As we had a lovely balcony with great views, we chose to have room service dinner - it arrived in super quick time, was the same price as the restaurant and was delish!
Will definitely stay there again the next time we visit FNQ.

Our stay here was fantastic, great value, our suite was much bigger than expected and we even had a small kitchen/bar which was fantastic as we had a baby with us, great for washing and sterilizing bottles, and they supplied the cot which was clean and beautifully presented, all staff were friendly and helpful and meals were delicious.Will stay there again at our next visit.

i attended a wedding here that was great. the food was really well presented and tasted fantastic. i have also had dinner here since and was pleased with the price and the taste of the food. the prices are reasonable too

fantastic hotel which offers great value, beautiful setting and very friendly service. Pasta lunches are the best!! Food is great. They're great with the kids and nice enviroment. best value lunch in Cairns!
