This has to be the best Indian resturant in Melbourne - seriously. The food is magnificent and the wait staff are just lovely. I have eaten there many times and I have never had a bad experience.

Roti Boti is the BEST Indian food I have ever tasted. You can not go past the Pumkin Baji and Palak Paneer.. my two favourites to order as take away and I'm not even vegetarian! After 3 trips to India and a visit to almost ever Indian Restaurant in Melbourne this is definitely my favourite. Food is above average and simply outstanding value for money PLUS 20% take away!! Dining is is quite intimate with tea light candles, as a mother of a 1 year old I woudn't recommend it for children as some do. It's a great restaurant for a "nice" night out :)
You must try it! It's the best!!

What a pity. We were really disappointed with our meal here, especially after the raving reviews. While the starters were fine, the curries were bland and did nothing to resemble an authentic Indian curry. We ordered two curries from different regions yet they both tasted identical, spiceless meat in gravy. The staff were very attentive, but the service felt awkward. For the first time ever, when asked, we did say that we hadn't enjoyed the meal and to their credit, the restaurant removed one of the main dishes from the bill. We may be used to spicier food than their usual clientele but it was poor curry no matter how you look at it. There are several, much better, curry houses in the area.

This matched my experience at the restaurant too. Other friends have gone there and have walked away very disappointed with this over-rated establishment.
Great Great Great food. The best indian, Ive ever had. The service is incredibly slow, please dont go there if you are starving, meals can take forever to come out. I imagine this is due to the cooking times and the exceptionally high quality of the meals. Suggest you book an earlier dinner (think 6.30-7.00)

After seeing all the great ratings here on Roti Boti, I decided to go there for a family dinner with my parents. We were not disappointed! The food was great and the service was impeccable - the best Indian I've eaten in Melbourne. It is a bit noisy, but I'd much rather that than go to a place that's deserted. Just make sure you have a booking as it was full.

After hearing so much about this restaurant we decided to go there for a birthday dinner ... the noise level was so bad we couldn't hear ourselves think, let alone talk! They pack far too many people in the small space making it crowded and uncomfortable. The food was average - certainly no better than any other Indian restaurant I have dined at!
The best indian restaurant i have been to. Excellent choice of tasty dishes and you never walk out hungry. If your looking for a great authentic curry then this is the place to go.
I visit Roti Boti for takeaway meals approximately once or twice a month, after trying a few Indian restaurants in the Hampton, Moorabbin, Brighton area, the quality of the food is the best at Roti Boti (which is probably reflected in the slightly higher price per dish). I have not dined in as yet, but the atmosphere seems pleasant for a comfortable chat over fine food and beverages (not too noisy and not too quiet).

The quality of food and service is outstanding
Fabulous

Based on this review we decided to go to Roti Boti last Thursday night. We didn't have a booking and it was packed and people were out on the street even though it was a cold night. We went somewhere else, but this place looked good. Will definately come back to try.
