A little tucked away, this isn't somewhere you'd find too easily without already looking but it is well worth a stop by. They have a delicious range of Asian dishes, and all that I've had have been cooked really well. Crispy squid and the char kway teao were really tasty, and it was all quite affordable as well. It was nice to find somewhere that was quite comfy and off the main drag a little.
Approximate cost: $20
I agree this place is a little tricky to get to, but we certainly enjoyed our visit and would come again. The decoration and atmosphere is very nice and the wait staff are so friendly and helpful, that really made a difference when ordering things you're unsure of.
The serving sizes are very large, so if the food lacks a tiny bit in the quality - at around $20 a serve it certainly makes up for in quantity. Though I had no fault to find with the rice dishes or satay sticks which were under $10. Outdoor balcony was pleasant and really, this is a bit of a find in the inner city. Busy at night of course ,but lunchtime usually quite good.
Looking forward to try some crispy chicken or a sweet and sour next time - shared some of my friend's and it was very tasty.
Also a bar there for people who want alcohol.
All in all, a thumbs up for this place.
Wow. It's hidden away, and certainly not in the most glamorous location, but boy does it offer good value.
Good for a cheap and cheerful lunchtime meal that tastes delicious, is above average quality and costs the same as a food court meal would, in a bistro setting.
i haven' been here for lunchtime, is the food good?
It is good and quick and cheap!
I find myself always coming back here for a relaxed dinner with friends. Huge menu, everything is pretty good. Service can be a bit average when busy but they're attentive when not rushed. Vegetarian hot pot is really tasty. Slightly expensive but just so reliably good.
Approximate cost: $19
i haven't tried their vegetarian hot pot before!
cheap eat, but pretty yummy! staff needs a bit of improvement, ditto with getting to the actual restaurant (it's sort of hidden, you have to go through this sort of dodgy path to get there) and food was prompt so was good
great for big groups, and decent atmosphere
The place was great, the interior and outdoor designs made it a really nice place to dine. However I wasn't too impressed with the food. I ordered a Milo Milk tea (friends ordered other flavours) and it wasn't that great. Then we had some main courses, overall the taste was very bland, nothing to special.
However for the price, and environment I would come back here, the food isn't necessarily bad, it just didn't stand out
milo milk tea sounds great! shame it was a bit disappointing...
Came here for a quick lunch, the food took a reasonable amount of time to arrive after ordering. The staff were friendly and weren't pushy for orders. Food itself was pretty decent but some of the prices for certain items can be a bit steep for what you get.
Agree with you about the waiting time
Yummy Food, Great Price, Friendly staff and a Lovely view from the balcony seating - What more could you want? Nice place for meeting up with friends. Recommended :)
Great for hanging out with friends, the seats are comfortable and they also have balcony seating for smokers. The foods are just average, one of the better tasting dish, in my opinion is the stir fried beef and green peas in XO sauce. I tried fried kway teow once, it was pretty bad- the noodles were mushy and very oily.
If you want chinese food with a nice polite service, you should come here. the staff are not rude plus they serve excellent food too in a cheap price. Recommended!
