Car arrived with a cracked windscreen, containing fresh pieces of gravel still lodged in the window and totally covered in dust, which we understand about the dust. Photos from Grays online auction of the car in the wash bay clearly showed no crack in the windscreen and those pieces of gravel would have washed out in the wash bay if they were there. We phoned Rainbow transport who said they would investigate. The following day sent us an email denying any responsibility of the windscreen, including making allegations it was impossible for the windscreen to get damaged in transit. Told us that a guy with long hair was aware of the damage as their truck driver had spoken to a staff member regarding the windscreen when he collected the car and she gave us a name and number to call at Grays, in which we did. Grays manager spoke to the guy with the long hair who remembers the truck driver however he denies no conversation took place regarding a cracked windscreen and was angry with what Rainbow transport said. We phoned Rainbow transport again who said read the fine print we don’t cover that. We said so why did you bother investigating this if this was the case. She hung up on us and then another guy phoned later that day stating he would speak to those involved and has to date not phoned back. We also spoke with another car carrier unloading cars and asked him if this could happen. His response was “you would be surprised on what damage can happen to cars. You would think it was impossible to hit that headlight or windscreen, but it happens. So beware it will end up costing more than other carriers. Even a week later they are saying it happened when we washed the car. The car is still dirty sitting on our front lawn from when they dropped it.

The Client Steve Neilson inspected the vehicle thoroughly upon arrrival on 26 Sep at 3.49pm and signed, dated and timed the consignment note that the car has been delivered free of detects. Today 6 Oct at 2.10pm, which is 10 days after delivery took place, we received a call from the Cleint's wife claiming there is crack on the windscreen and asking for free transport alternatively she will put a bad review on social media. Our response was "go for it" as we don't accept blackmailing. We forwarded the signed consignmnet note to the freight website which they booked through for legal action against mudslinging.

When the vehicle arrived it was covered in dust and we unloaded the car to push it on our front yard. Then the driver said sign here and we did, we were never asked to inspect the car we thought it was to take delivery of the car. We ,made contact with Rainbow within an hour of taking delivery.. I never asked for free transport alternative. I just wanted you to pay for the damage which occurred during transport. It is so sad when the facts are not told. We never blackmailed. BEWARE THIS COMPANY WILL SAY ANYTHING.
