Ole, Ole, Ole. My friend and I went to Mexicali Rose last Wednesday night and we had a fantastic night. It was a Mexican festival celebration. They had a Mariachi Band who walk through the restaurant. We had the Special Banquet. Congratulation to the Chef, would like to see this available all the time.
Thank you to the manager Lori who squeezed us in. My boyfriend just loved the surprise.

Being a lover of Mexican Food I have dined at several Mexican Restaurant in and around Melboure. A group of us dined at Mexicali Rose in Richmond last Saturday night and we decided it is the best Mexican Food we have ever had. The restaurant was chockers the service was great considering they were so busy. Margaritas were delicous. Will we go back Yes! Yes! Yes!

One of the best mexican restaurants in Melbourne by far. I went with my partner after hearing about it on the radio. We had an enjoyable experience and really enjoyed the Fajitas and the Chicken Mole.

Like Dev above, I'm a transplanted American always looking for a good Mexican meal. I've tried several different "Mexican" restaurants in Melbourne, but Mexicali Rose was the best by far. I went with a large group of mostly Americans and their Aussie partners and we had a great time with some great food that took most of us on a trip back home. I had the chimichanga (which is my favorite in the US too) and while it wasn't as fantastic as my fav in the US, it came quite close. Highly recommend it!

Now...I've missed real Mexican food ever since I moved to Australia from the US, but Mexicali Rose alleviates my cravings for good Mexican! Their menu is fantastic, and the food is just as authentic at anything I've had back home. The nicest part is that the meals are very reasonably priced, so I don't feel like I have to spent a gazillion dollars to get great food. I regularly recommend this place to my other American (and Australian!) friends. I'm definitely going back ASAP! ;)

My experience of Mexican cuisine is limited to say the least however I completed rated the food from this place. I had a dish called a Chimichanga Chook and it came with salad and Mexican Rice. Very nice, especially washed down with a Cerveza!
