The most disappointing customer/patient care & service I’ve ever witnessed from a place where patient care should be first priority. I’ve had temporary hearing loss & had an appointment else where to get my ear syringed so that I could hear properly. However I decided to go to Medfirst as I am a patient here. Upon booking, no one had notified me of any charges or anything what so ever, they simply said yes to coming in. Upon arrival, I sat down & waited patiently for my appointed until I was told I had to pay a fee of $50 for a 2 second ear clear procedure. I advised them that no one had notified me of paying a fee, the receptionist simply said “for procedures we charge a fee & it’s up to you should you want to proceed or not”. I told them that no one notified me of a fee & that I had an appointment elsewhere which I missed to come here. She simply just looked at me, said “sorry there’s nothing I can do”.

It’s just crazy to see how these days companies including a doctors office just want money. They don’t care about patients health or well being.
Do not go to this practice as patient care is not their first priority. Mind you the waiting times is ridiculous.

Staff are very professional and online booking is convenient. However some doctors are better than others. I do reccomend coming to this clinic but try sticking with one doctors that works well with you unless more urgent. Had both very positive with some doctors where they have been patient and understanding. As well as, negative experience with another GP where she was quite dismissive to my further questions as well as opinions I had received from other health professions and made me feel like I was wasting her time.

The doctors there are nice and helpful, and once you make an appointment the waiting time is not long. However, the owner of this medical centre is very mean and rude. He has very strict policy in his medical centre. For example, once I was obliged to cancel an appointment I had with the psychologist three hours before the time because I had to pick up my daughter from her school as she became suddenly ill and her school wanted me to pick her up as soon as possible. Just because I canceled the appointment on that day and asked for the appointment to be rescheduled for the next week, he got very angry and deprived me from doing any further appointments with the psychologist or the dietician at his medical centre. I explained to him many times my unfortunate circumstances he didn’t care. He is still very adamant until now not to let me do any further appointments at his medical centre until now. Even though it was the only time I cancel an appointment with the psychologist at his medical centre. Even one of the doctors intervened and spoke to him in order to change his mind. He still refused to let me consult a psychologist or dietitian at his medical centre.

Thanks for your feedback. However, this is not the full story. The allied health appointments are overflowing and we send out confirmation texts 72 hours beforehand asking to confirm or cancel your appointment. There is also a cancellation fee involved for less than 24 hours notice which has been waived several times to support you. There is a long waiting list. Cancelling last minute more than once, our actual allied health staff has refused to see you due to a relationship breakdown, as other patients on a long waiting list then miss out and it is unfair to them. A Dr did ask for it to be allowed once more which I did at their request and I convinced the psychologist as well, however the psychologist ran slightly over time with their previous patient due to an urgent issue and you refused to see them and were not kind to all involved. Therefore the allied health has refused to see you again due to a relationship breakdown. We arent being rude but have tried to support you and been very understanding, however there is a limit to what we can do. You may take your referrals to others in the area who will be happy to assist and our Doctors are always happy to see you provided it is respectfully done so. Thank you.
