My two year old has been getting swimming lessons at Mckeons since he was 6 months old. The staff are great and knowledgable. We can see a huge improvement in our sons skills each week and he loves going!

My children have been swimming at McKeons since they were 6 months old, the learn to swim program was excellent. However the mini squad my eldest is now in has been a disappointment, there is no feedback, they are only swimming 8 to 10 laps in 45 minutes, 12 months has gone by he remains in the same group, does the same beginner drills for butterfly and breaststroke every second week. There is no deck supervisor assessing the children. It is disappointing for a program that previously I would have only had praise for.

Thank you for your feedback, we always appreciate and look at ways to improve our service from it. Please drop by the desk next week so we can address your concerns personally. Susie

They do not progress children and hold them in classes too long, over silly little things. Have seen special treatment for some children, where teachers will go over and over the one skill to they move up. There is a lack of consistency. Formally acessing young children also makes them nervous. There lesson price is high and do not offer much discount for siblings.

Thank you for your feedback, we always appreciate it. Please drop past the desk next time you are in so we can address your particular concerns directly.

They run too many lessons at one time and squish the children into the pool, ultimately affecting the quality of teaching into a confined space. There is also a lack of knowledgeable teachers who operate of checklist and view childrens progression as black and white with no inbetween. They hold children back if not as strong in one skill, whilst they become board in others and are unable to further develop those skills. I had my child stuck in this situation for three terms, clearly indiacating the lack of teaching. I find the swim school is more obsessed with making profit than teaching life saving skills.
Please remember mckeons olympic swimmers do not specialise in all strokes, let children reach their full potential in their individual strengths. There development is not a tick on the page.

Thank you for your review we appreciated your feedback .

Our aim is to teach children to swim and be safe in and around water.
We understand the importance of quality teaching and time spent with each child.
This is why our Learn to Swim classes have a maximum of 4 students per class and all levels of swimming focus on vital water safety skills.
With all types of learning children take time to master new skills and build confidence performing these skills.

In water assessments are conducted twice during each term by their teacher where student skills are marked. These assessments monitor student progression and this information is used as a guide for our Supervisors to follow up during the term, with their own student assessments and feedback.

Please feel free to speak with our Supervisors at any time to discuss your childs progress or answer any questions you may have regarding your child. Our supervisors are there to assist you and love talking everything swimming!!

We hope to see you at the pool!

Great place. We take our 14 month old there and he has been going since he was 6 months old. Gets a little hot in there with all the windows closed but it's a small price to pay. The kids just love it there. There are some older ladies teaching there who are absolutely worth their weight in gold.

Excellent swim school. Staff are well trained, organised and enthusiastic. Have had no problems with kids getting sick from swimming here. The only negative is that it is so busy it is extremely hard to get swimming times that suit!!

I've sent both my kids here and been pretty happy with the quality of teachers and program's. average to high price for lessons but overall a good experience, after all swimming lessons is something I'm willing to spend a bit on. Would definitely recommend McKeons, they've been around a long te and know what they're doing!

I went to enroll my youngest child into swim lessons the other week and they were extremely helpful. All of the time slots that were availble did not suit me due to other work and outer school activities so the offered to create a class at a time slot that suited me. I thought that this was above and beyond helpful. I would highly recommend this swim school to anyone. Also, my eldest boy has just re-started swimming lessons there for stroke correction as I thought that this place was the best.

I go here for aqua and find them to be great. The instructor is nice and always doing new and interesting things. I have also used this for swimming lessons for my kids and they have been good.

We started my son with swimming lessons at 6 months of age and the staff were very helpful in organising this for us. Communication about terms and fees were great and the instructors teaching our son were amazing.

Approximate cost: $13
